Well done Mr Jeremy, how many times did I tell this people dont beg for recognition, just act and walk like a nation and if you accept your a nation and believe in yourselves and leadership hell with what others think of you.
Somaliland needs attitude change more than any thing. It also needs to encourage with Somalia and establish it selve as an important region by carrying out activies inside Somalia—this is what the world needs. They can do business with a nation not only controls its borders but also able to conduct activities outside.
As long as they saying in "madaxtooyada" nothing will change. As long as they beg others for their God given rights nothing will change.
Somaliland needs to invade Somalia with the help of regional allies and take out the capital and declare its rights as long as they saying lets stay inside we are peaceful we r bla——-no one going to come to them.
You are lawyer I know you agree. I wish Mr Silaanyo listens and right away signs treaties with regional Somalis states like Galmudug, Suufi groups and takes out Mogadishu and Al shabab.
I totally reject your final proposal Somaliland will communicate only with Somalia
When it fully internationally recognized. We are not going to lose our identity again
We will never ever make the same mistake again ……………………just remember that …..
Long live Somaliland and thanks to Jeremy Carver
Sooner or later, Somalilanders will have to battle the terrorist group called Alshabaab. If I was the preident of JSL, I would have prepared thousnads of the youth of our nation for wining a bitter and long lasting guerilla warfare aginst this Wahabis infadel group, who is masterminded by Arab mercenaries, and who use Somalis for their own agenda of establishing an Arab Empire in Africa, disguised as an Islamic one, beginning with the gradual takingover and occupation of Somalia. In that Arab Empire there will be no democracy, no human rights, and no freedoms. It will be a replica of the present day Saudi Arabia, which secretly supports this terroroist group, and intend to be the capital of the socalled Islamic Empire, which, in fact, will be an Empire dominated and governed exclusively by the Arabs, while black people of Africa, including the Somalis, will only be the slaves and MIDGAANS OF THAT OMINOUS EMPIRE. This was the case, after all, in the ancient Islamic (Arab). Empire. It will be up to Somalilanders to save Somalis from becoming mere slaves for the Arabs, in the backward Islamic (Arab) Empire.
The election was very important for the people of Somaliland; it is also a major step toward the democratisation of the country.
The election was free and fair as witnessed by the international observers and this is a step that will lead to the recognition of the country.
I think Mr Siilanyo must show some respect and show the recognition that Ayuub deserve.
Please do not tell me "dawlad taayo leh" because I will tell you that Ayyub have "taayo".

But Mr Siilanyo must show some respect and recogniton that Ayuub deserve.
please don't tell we want "dawlad taayo leh" because I think that's even more qabyalad.Ayuub have "taayo" if you like.
Dearest Ayuub I regret to say that but I will consider that your is ayuub and you are representing your ayuub. Mr. Ayuub on behalf of the Somaliland Diaspora we don’t mind at all if the twenty ministers came from one clan or even tribe, what we badly need was functioning cabinet knows what they are doing like our foreign minister Dr. Omar. His Highness President did his best when he have selected an outstanding selection “Descretion is the better part of valor”
Thanks to Mr. Jeremy and any other who supports our motherland and those congratulations from the wold is what our nation has achieved and we have to do more and never stop till we get the recognition and will come soon as i blieve, the idea which says take the way back to Somalia is wrong, Keyse is pointing me out to go and lock my self in a dark room in the day light or it is kind of dream. We will not loose our flag back to an unknown futur!
Theres no need for Somaliland to panic for after 84 years of British
Protectorate rule, it finally got its Independence on 26 June 1960,
peacefully and in an orderly fashion and went through and satisfied all the ceremonial rituals representing the House of Windsor regulations for
the handover of power to the newly Independent DE JURE Sovereign State.
Before the Somaliland set date for Independence, Somaliland was prepared
for elections which resulted in the SNL Party winning and formed a Govt.
consisting of 33 Parlimentarians including the Prime Minister.
This Govt. received the Independence handover from the British.
Therefore its clear that a De Jure Somaliland Sovereign State merged into
Union with another De Jure Somalia entity.
Dr. Omar and Mr. Jeremy Carver CBE can work out together to sort out
the whatever obstacles that stand in the path against somaliland reaching its goals of political recognition by the British Govt. who has the Independence
records and the World at large.
Thank you Mr. Carver for your efforts of support.
Cheers.
We need strong man and strong army and taking the south and Mogadishu down through small elite forces and exploiting the south differences will give Somaliland better position to negotiate its case. World is not interested we were recognized 1960 bla bla…….they wanna see you can carry out raids inside Mogadishu and not the other way around. This is the strategy of Israel and now look where they are.
No one needs nice guys talking about the same things 24/7. Keep waiting forever.
Does anybody in their right mind knows what this guy is talking about and does it makes any sense at all?
Hey Kayse,
Somaliland needs strong Govt. and good Governance for all the cabinet positions, strong Army inclusive, but for goodness sake why taking the South and Mogadiscio!. Simply said, Somaliland will defend its territorial borders if attacked or violated and minds its own business pursuing and defending
its own political interests through Igad/Au/Unpos/UK-EU-USA /Al/ICG and beyond.
Dear Kayse think again…Heesti Dan iyo hani kala fooga! Maxa ka guuxaya ninyahow???
Cheers._
lol I really dont get where Somalilanders get this self sanction from yet want to be a "country". The truth is politics are harsh and until Somaliland isnt ready to do some dirty work and play harsh game then it can chase this "recognition" thing until eternity.
In this world you either need to know the right people or take matters to your own hand and disable the opponents. The reason Eritrea got recognition is because they joined forces with Meles and took down Mengustu, in return Eritrea was accepted in Addis by Meles once he was in power but later disagreed on other issues, he also used the ONLF, OLF and other groups but didnt fulfil their agreements and promises he made to them.
Kosovo is recognized because the West needs Kosovo and its getting back at Russia and Serbia over Georgia and other issues.
Who does Somaliland know? No one because they dont leave "Madaxtooyada".
UK and US need to help Somaliland build an elite special forces of 4000, for their benefit and for the region. If we take Mogadishu, West will just say "secular democratic north" took the Islamist south and want recognition—neighbors should deploy armies across the borders and Somaliland should be recognized….sort of like Korea case…the world will focus on the region and Somaliland will get more attention and it needs to come out off the shell and show the world it can go beyond its borders which means its secure to invest too…
As long as guys like you are staying in the three blocks in Hargeisa, world has better things to discuss and address.
Hey Kayse,
Are you finished lecturing….what if I say I learnt nothing from you except confusion of what have you devil!, Sorry to say dear MR. Kayse that I enjoy certain aspects of your writings, but then again there are times you are really overboard and irreconcilable with your
writings. However, rightly or wrongly, you have expressed yourself
and its up to the new Somaliland Administration how they will
conduct their affairs. By the way Mr. Kayse, aren't you from Somaliland
…you tend to be highly educated and appear to be having certain
good knowledge about world affairs. What are you up to with
all these smoke screen statements???
This time around Somaliland is winning and real, its only
a matter of time real soon! What you know Kasey..search my soul!.
Cheers.
I am actively involved with Somaliland and I do plan to work in Mogadishu for the interest of Somaliland. You dont place your eggs in one basket.
Mohamed, he not a Somalilander. He is an imposter Ogaden pretending to be Somalilander and also he is not more educated than me, yo or anybody here. Besides, he has loose lips, talking both sides of his mouth.
Mabda' baa yeeshaa haddad qof weyne oo aqoon sheeganaye. Anga hay daayo jiriroolahani.
The independence of British Somaliland was debated in those walls because Somali people fought for their freedom. Apart from this lawyer who is promoting his own interest, facts must be honoured.
Prior the Berlin summit in which Somalia was sliced between Italy, Britain and France, Somali people were one but without central authority due to tribal decentralized system.
The British negotiated agreements with tribal chiefs in northern Somalia in 1884-86 and established a protectorate, British Somaliland, in 1887; France established French Somaliland in 1860s after agreement with Somali tribes as well as Afars; The British and French negotiated a boundary agreement in 1888.
Italy entered Somalia in 1889. It claimed that it had made agreement with the Sultan in Hobyo and Zanzibar Sultan, two that had nothing to do with the 99% of the territory. It met stiff resistance and Italians didn’t fully put Italian Somaliland under its control until 1925.
Hey Runsheeg,
From your statements you sound that you are a southerner from Somalia Puntland!, am I right… and if so is the case, there is no need for you to practice your negative ideologies on Somaliland proper!…Please save your brilliant ideologies for the burning Somalia/Puntland warmongers/piracy striken dead-end! Somaliland is no longer in position to listen to the negative derogatory statements undermining its own legal and political status quo.
Cheers.
Arab masters, who use Somali youths as foot soldiers, will get rid of them as soon as they takeover all regions of Somalia. They will replace them with thousands of Arab mercenaries from all over the Arab world. These Arab Wahabis intend to invade and colonize African countries, one at a time, and subjugate Africans. They intend to creat an empire ruled exclusively by Arabs. There will be no place for democracy, freedoms, or human rights in that would be Arab Empire, whose capital will be Riyadh of Saudi Arabia, and it will be a replica of the present day unconstitutional monarchy of Saudi Arabia. Arabs has a culture of invading other nations. In the past they took over the whole of North Africa, which they occupy until today. The native inhabitants of North Africa are not allowed to use their own language in schools. Somalilanders must prepare themselves for an all out bitter war against these Arab Wahabis and their Somali poppets, who, out ignorance and lack of knowledge of history, carry out the dire agenda of these Arab invaders of their own soil. Viva patriotic Somalilanders.
Hey Halyey Layaqaan, Look and listen, the World is divided between Arabs, Europeans, Americans, Africans. Indians, Chinese and so forth. irrespective of the Cultural, Ideological, and Political differences, notwithstanding how each Culture behaves, I beg to disagree and differ with your naked attacks on the Arabs and in Particular the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. If you are a true Somalilander such silly and stupid accusations will not help Somaliland! Cheers.
Somalis who fight for Alshabaab are infadels, and are no more than mercenaries and slaves of their Arab Wahabi masters, who plan to invade and occupy all countries of none Arab Moslems, in the name of Islam. The ultimate goal of these wahabi Arab infedle aggrssors is to creat an Arab empire ruled for- ever by Arabs only. It is up to the none Arab Moslems every where to fight against the invation of these Arab wahabis, who are bent on colonizing Moslem countries such Afghanisan, Pakistan, and Somalia, in collaboration with local poppets such as Alshabaab and Taliban. Moslem nations need most ,not a ritarded Arab Empire disgused as an Islamic Empire, but freedoms, democracy, and human rights. Somaliland goverment must prepare for an ultimate showdown with those Arab wahabi invaders and their Somali slaves known as Alshabaab.
Thank you Mr. Jeremy, but the British need to do more for Somaliland's quest for recognition. As an International Lawyer you could do more than just talk. We are not begging anybody, it is our rights as a sovereign nation.
Thank you Mr Jeremy for supporting Somaliland's recognition. The outside world fails to recognise that Somaliland is a poor nation that desperately needs economic help and recognition. With programs like this it means that there are people out there who care about Somaliland's hardships.
Thank you Mr Jeremy from the bottom of our hearts.
Thanks Mr Jeremy, you have bravely spoken out the Somaliland status verbally, but it would have been better to put this into practice and action. We appreciate your support and we are looking forward to seeing you as a political supporter of Somaliland in the future.
M.J.Musa
Somalilanders are masakiin, what are you thanking Mr Jeremy for? He just stated facts and I didnt know whenever someone states facts you gotto thank them.
Somalilanders need change of attitude, bisaad kasto hadashaa THANK YOU and VISIT US bay ku dhahayaan………caqliga iska badaala.
Kayseyoow kugu xintay waar maxa tiri!.
Cheers.
