Somaliland Programme Medair, with international headquarters in Switzerland, is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that responds to human suffering in emergency and disaster situations by implementing multi-sectoral relief and rehabilitation projects. Medair is implementing a health, nutrition, water, hygiene and sanitation programmes for vulnerable populations in and around Burao town. Medair is looking for the following staff member, to be based in Burao,Togdheer Region, Somaliland: Position Responsibilities Qualifications ICT/Logistics Assistant-To be responsible for the smooth running of all ICT equipment within the Burao base. – To ensure compliance with software licensing – To manage computers, network and server – To ensure back up of data is maintained – To monitor performance of Internet suppliers and support Logistics dept in price and contract agreements. – .To prevent the perfidious internet usage in the work environment – To manage Equipment Inventory List for Burao base and carry out regular physical checks of assets – To carry out stock counts as requested by Senior Logistics Officer – Set up schedule of regular maintenance/checks to maintain integrity of equipment and prevent breakdowns – Ensure adequate, fully protected power for ICT equipment – Ensure availability of critical spares – Dispose of all obsolete and redundant ICT equipment – Responsible for monitoring the Equipment Allocation Forms Essential Desirable – A diploma or degree in ICT,including theory and practice of computer, server and network management – ICT technical experience – Experience of dealing with customers – At least 2 years employment history in ICT or similar field s – Proficient user of different OS, MS office and other software Office – Knowledge of Data Base software – Analytical and detailed approach to ICT. – University Degree or similar in ICT – ICT Management training relevant to humanitarian work – Problem solving ability with equipment ranging from PC’s – Basic hardware repair experience. – Experience of working in an INGO/ international setting desirable.
