HARGEISA-Telesom Company, Somaliland’s largest national telecommunication operator has once again introduced a first of its kind service to its customers in Somaliland. Telesom unveiled the new services which it called (Ila Magal) or Ringback Tones to the press at the company’s headquarter in Hargeisa the capital of Somaliland. Telesom Company was founded in Hargeisa, Somaliland back in 2001 and it has surpassed the rest of with its ground-breaking technology and outstanding customer service.
Today’s introduction of Ringback Tones which will allow the carriers customers to listen to several audio recordings from Quran, Nasheed for children and Quran Hadiith will be the first of its kind in the country. A well rehearse ceremonial exhibition of this new service attended by the heads of the company was held at Telesom’s headquarter. First to address the press was the head of sales improvement Mr. Abdisalan Ismael Nur . Mr. Nur went on to said“Telesom Company is well known for creativity and innovative stratergy to come up with new products and services for its customers and today’s unveiling of Ila Magal/Ringback Tones is no exception”.
Telesom is the first company that brought the country now prominent mobile banking service known as Zaad to their customers. Zaad service has now transferred the way customers bank and shop in Somaliland, Telesom has also introduced the country’s first 3G mobile network services a first for Somaliland and Aqoon-Maal another creative service that allowed Telesom customers to read the news, get dictionary translating Somali and English, Wikipedia and many informative materials that are useful to the community.
This new service has been tested for several months with several hundred customers before the firm decided to release to the public today. The QA result of several hundred was a positive review and the company expects the public will also enjoy it. Telesom customers can now listen to the following four audio services. Telesom also intends to add more services in the near future programs such as Somali poems and entertainments. Customer that would like to use this service can dial 118 at which point an instruction will be given to them.

Keep up the good work
Good but is Telesom is not being regulated by the Ministry of Posts and Telecoms along with
the Privately owned Telecoms businesses. When will the Ministry regulate all the Country's
Telecoms. under one unitary code dialling systems etc.

Dud, that has been given a shot by the Ministry but all efforts ended in Vain after certain companies such as Telesom disagreed the unitary code dadialling system
The Minister of Posts and Telecoms. should be sacked if he's not capable to enforce the
Ministry's Law responsibilities.
