Somaliland:Vet Vechiles for Sool,Sanaag and Togdheer

The regional officers of the Ministry of Livestock Development yesterday benefitted from three side-roader vehicles, 4WD Toyota Land Cruisers.
The regional coordinators for Sool, Sanaag and Togdheer happily received keys from the Livestock Minister Hon. Dr. Abdi Aw Dahir on the occasion of sanctioning for the livestock annual vaccination campaigns.
The livestock inoculation scheduled to kick off today is expected to have upto a million sheep and goats (shoats) inoculated against peste des pettis ruminonts (PPR) caused by mobilllivirus.
At the same function the state minister for Reconciliation Hon. Keise Abdi Yusuf thanked the livestock ministry for the gesture which would go well into easing work and facilitating better services during the PPR vaccination campaigns.

I will export my 100,000 goats and camels via Mogadishu thanks to the recent gains against al Shabab, no more using the dead Berbera port and funding tribalist Council. I will then buy farms in Qoryooley and flood the northern non-producing markets with my products so I can drive the little grain farms in Gabiley and Wajale out of business. Mind you, my own family has farms in Gabiley and they cost us more to run it then returns and we just fund it because of heritage reasons. I will convince my reer Galbeed family to abandon that region for the south and beyond.
The south is the way forward just as people fled from the Sahara, they will migrate from northern Somalia too. The second mega migration is set to happen within the next 50 years.
My analyses are based on political, seo-economic, social and climate researches. The north will never grow beyond what it is currently. The only hope is oil and even if oil is discovered, it will run out and the last well will send the last man south.
I am going to make my establishment in the south and carry my DNA forward instead of hanging around few emotional habro that once shared lineage with me. The smart man amongst us moves forward and often abandons his camp to survive, it was the way since Adam and Eve.

I'm sad to say this but unfortunately at this moment the port of Mogadishu is in the hands of some very corrupt people making it very expensive to do business. The new government has to address this issue quickly if it wants to revive Mogadishu once again as the gateway for East-Africa we can easily replace Mombasa its a junkyard compared to Mogadishu even Kismayo got the capacity to overtake it. We Somalis are blessed with the longest coastline in Africa with several deep ports and more in semi/small ports from Zeil to Kismayo which our ancestors use to take advantage of making it the gateway to Africa for the Asian/Middle-eastern and some Western country's. I wonder all the time why we are like this why do we hate each other so much but at the same time love the outsiders for goodness sake we're only around 12/15 million people not including Djibouti and the occupied regions. I could of understood the animosity if we was 100+ million people or even like China/India more than 1 billion people competing for the same resources. Even if we lets say get raped for our resources by the West we will still have enough to go round but instead we let outsiders like the Shaytan does whisper poison in our ears and then arms us to the teeth expecting to keep on killing each other till we exterminate our self's which is not happening but are actually growing rapidly which is actually pissing them off.

You are right at this stage the capacity of the port of Mogadishu is not where we need it to be but I can assure you that even its 20% is still more productive than Berbera running at 100%…there are many reasons why no one uses Berbera anymore. It only handles WFP food for Ethiopia and its not even enough to support the port, its no more than 20,000 mt.
Mohamed Hashi, the former Council finance minister in the north tried to fix the problem but he was met with strong opposition from Ethiopia and Silanyo, so he decided to resign from the tribal Council.
No one is allowed to run Berbera port unless its Esse Mosse and that is why they always recycle only two men, Xorxor and another one.
If I was port/freight/clearance export I can assure you that I would have more confidence getting a job in dangerous Mogadishu than Berbera. Mogadishu might look at your CV but Berbera will look at your tribe.

Most Somalis in Hawd interior, east-northern regions now use Bosasso. Berbera had 21 years to grab the market unopposed and no competition apart from Djibouti, which is one of the leading ports in Africa.
Mogadishu will only need two years of stability and in no time it will over take Mombasa forget the tiny oven Berbera and tribal Kismayu.
They couldn't even clean Berbera's waters from the junks of useless ship wreckage in 21 years.
