Somaliland:UK Acclaimed College Offers Internationally Recognized Degrees

HARGEISA(SomalilandPress)–CEO-Mr. Abdi Jama Yusuf, an Engineer major from UK spent most of his life abroad came back to Somaliland to establish FFO College. Mr. Abdi Jama Yusuf worked for Ford Company for more than five years and also the well-known Rolls-Royce Motor Cars for more than 10 years. Eng. Yusuf recently arrived back to Somaliland in order to established a UK acclaimed college called FFO which has been his long dream. This college which offers internationally recognized degrees: concentrates on the advancement of knowledge in the working environment.
In an exclusive interview with Berberanews website, Eng. Abdi explains about FFOP, “FFOP was created 2004 from Manchester focuses on changing lives for better future for all. FFOP endeavour is to help people who are looking for training, employment, entrepreneurs, and the start of new business.
FFOP, for a long time, that has been supporting qualified persons in the UK to find full time employment is now operating in Hargeisa, Somaliland. FFOP is at the moment working with the local people of Somaliland on training programmes in order to obtain international qualification from London Chamber of Commerce and Industries.” Eng. Abdi Said
Mr. Abdi give details about their major programmes, “Our programmes, which a large number of students are currently enrolled in, consists of ICT training, accounting and finance, Marketing for customer services, English for business as well as business administration.” Said, and added
“While striving for perfectionism, FFOP’s focal point is for those seeking a professional work and those acquiring advanced learning.”

Their website is not helpful, but I hope they live up to their claims.
The name of the college sucks. He might be an engineer but he is poor with business. The name alone kills it for me. What is FFOP? Why does it has to be so long that he use to use the initials? I suggest a name change.
Good on him though!
Typical British, just as Turkish Muslims set up a High school in Mogadishu who turns up, an engneer from Britain who thinks they are doing Somalians a favour. No doubt they will recognise Somali/Land as a reward for falling into the "wherever the British go, disunity is sure to follow", I should right a poem!
