The National Police Commissioner Cmdr. Abdillahi Fadal has confirmed that his forces arrested three terrorism suspects but declined to give further details.
police Cmdr. Fadal said that following a wide dragnet over Thursday night they managed to apprehend three suspects but could not divulge further information for what he termed “so as not to jeopardize on going investigations”.
He however said that such was not tailored for only the said particular night but that it was port and parcel of their daily police work to be vigil hence operate round the clock.
Sources say that two of the suspects were identified as Hassan Barud and Jamal Yusuf Omar.
The later is said to be a Hargeisa resident who used to run Universal College in town. However neither details of the former nor the identification of the third person are still clear.

This is a complete lie. The RRU, a unit under the British government payroll kidnapped three innocient civilians from their homes in Hargeisa on Friday night and where about the men are unknown and no legal frame has been put forth until now.

I am not sure what gives the tribal council in Hargeisa the right to detain civilians without any charge or legal framework for more than 48 hours.

If Silaanyo and Dhiigshiil are interested in detaining terrorists they should start with Hersi Gaab, the al Shabab representative in Togdheer and Abdulaziz Samale as well as the so called religious minister. Can the religious minister tell the public where is his al Shabab member son is hiding now? We know he crossed Las Annod from southern Somalia enroute to Hargeisa back in July.

We also wish to know why Dhiigshiil continues to employ Al Shabaab sympathizers and members while they finance the harassment of the public by RRU and other illegal tribal forces.

We will soon be writing to the British Embassy in Mogadishu and they must answer why they finance tribal forces in the north and help ignite and engulf the instability in parts of that region including kidnappings which won't known until Silaanyo and his sub-tribe committee (Kulmiye).

The motives of arresting this men is just a cover up for the real issues and to hide the real terrorist in Morgan's house.

There are only a few cases where I support the death penalty and those who are religious fanatics are only second to child molesters. Given em the rope!
