If President Sillaanyo is honest about reforms, he should fire the useless, ignorant and corrupted Mayor of Hargeisa. He has to be the worst of the worst. I would personally shoot him at point blank-range just because he is that worthless.

The guy just chews qat and hangs with little kids. He goes house to house to collect bribes.

I agree with you Keyse with regard to his worthlessness, however there were no wrong doing of any kind found on this man despite many investigations and probes. However, I found your comment very distasteful as it shows high level of ignorance and barbarism. Put forward why u think he is corrupt and help the authorities in apprehending him. Don't just go by a hearsay. I personally dislike the guys cuz i feel he has not done enough for the city of Hargeisa which is supposed to be the capital of Somaliland, but u can't also divorce all responsibility from those who inhabit the city as well in demanding change and helping the local government in transforming the city.

This is an absolute disaster, the President keeps changing ministers like an individual changes socks. The country needs stability and if these persons were not guilty of any wrongdoing then the only way to change them should have been through an election or vote of no confidence. A bad decision all round.

I personally welcome the reforms that president silanyo did but I would advice the president to give full-power to the good governance and Anti corruption commission to make all governors and other government institutions accountable to what they did for the community.

Mayors are elected by the ppl thus can not be changed by the central goverment (president) & are the head of their local goverment in their prespective regions! Governers represent the central goverment in the 6 regions and are appointed by the President. They are responsible for the overall security of the region and the govermental departments in the region i.e Dept. Edu/health etc. 101Politics for those of you isku khaldaya mayorka and the governor.

Ms Somaliland, thank you for enlightening us about politics. Regardless of who the person is and what role he plays in the country, the President should take it easy with the shuffling around of ministers. This is not the first time it has happened since Mudane Silanyo has been in power. The President calls the shots and he is doing a fine job so far but what is the fine line between replacing somebody for personal/political reasons and for the good of the Nation as a whole?
