Allah Bless Somaliland and it is people and keep them in healthy, wealthy and prosperity, I hope the Delegation consisting of members from World Bank, United Nations, European Commission, African Development Bank and 12 International reporters today toured several parts of Hargeisa didn't came for tourisum but they came to help us, but what the problem is Somaliland is not Only the capital "Hargeisa". At the same time the problem of the third world countries is that they only talk about the capital, They ignore the rest of the country.

  2. Saleebaan Xaaji says:

Another positive development. Somaliland surprises every non-Somalilander who visits the country for the first time. Yes, it is a poor country, but its people are looking forward not back.

thanks to the world if they finally decided to help Somaliland and it's people. Importantly our government should prioritize where help is is urgently needed including sufficient drinking water for the capital city of the nation, Health and education and finally safety.

    God bless Somaliland.

  5. Kayse says:

God bless Somaliland and its people. This how the Almighty helps to those who help themselves. Good things are coming from all sides of the globe, and we shall prosper very soon Insha Allaah.

We always pray for those Somalis who could not get out of the quagmire they put to themselves. God, help them.

  8. Nas says:

Yes this is great news however, our ministers should discuss equal greater relevant topics such as market access for our products to markets like the EU and US/Canada and emerging East Asian nations.

As far as I can recall was it not the UN in 2006 who were lobbying for camel milk to gain access international markets…?

    • Nas says:

Our economy can not be dependent on livestock exports to the MidEast and in particular the Saudi Arabian market.

Creating a meat processing industry in Somaliland will not only create more employment, but will also create a secondary industry by exploiting the thousands of tonnes of cattle byproducts such as hide/skin and leather exports, this will also create further employment in our country.

Annually, we are potentially and since the 2009 Saudi removal of S/Land (and Somalia) livestock ban, losing hundreds of million dollars worth of quality hide and skin products.

  9. Abdulrahman M. Omar says:

Good Bless Somaliland, The Minister is doing good job, he do care whole the country persuasively not only the capital otherwise we will consider the rest of the country are cirrus radiatus clouds.
Anyway, We appreciate your activity, Allah bless you minister.

  10. mohamed says:

Hargeisa being the Capital of the 6 Regions in real time deserves
not only self-sufficiency in this critically important Water shortage issue but
in all other venues of similar importance as well. The Capital embodies
all the Public sector and represents major private sector business
leverages of great much so..that the Capital must have the
examplified attraction to lead the Nations other Regions.
There's no doubt that this new Regime in power tends to be very
    active in their movements.

  11. Abraham says:

What we need is not a well for an entire city, but a sufficiently large reservoir built to collect the bi-annual rain water that flows throw our dry river before that water reaches the sea, The muddy and dirty water can then be puritied for consumption. The same can also be done in Burco.
