Dahabshil once again assures all esteemed customers that all company data base is secure contrary to reports posted in certain media outlets which purported a group to be Anonymous had published thousands of account numbers, names and details online belonging to Dahabshil.

We are again urging all media outlets spreading false information about our operation to refrain from such actions immediately or else face libel prosecution

“Dahabshiil places the highest importance on its compliance procedures and has extensive anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing policies in place which are approved by the relevant regulators, including the FSA in the UK.

“All staff receives extensive and continuous training in this regard.

Consequently, we call on Anonymous to withdraw its untrue allegations immediately.

1.”Following our initial investigation into the cyber-attack, we now believe that earlier reports attributing the action to a particular protest group were inaccurate and exaggerated.”

It said it was not in a position yet to verify the identity of the individuals behind the hack.

2.”Naturally we will keep all customers fully updated.”

3.”Safeguarding our customers is of paramount importance to Dahabshiil and we will continue to work closely with the relevant authorities to ensure that we identify those responsible.

4. “We shall file legal suits against those who continue to spreading false and malicious information against our institution.

Good grief! There are thousands of customer accounts and their details (e.g. addresses) published online. How can they deny that? There are also Dahabshiil staff usernames and (sometimes) their passwords, router information, server locations, IP addresses, etc, included in the leaked information.

This is really sad move from Dahabshiil. We, customers, have access to the interwebs and we can see every bit of hacker leaked info, how come they can feed us such ill-fetched press release? Safeguarding my arse. Using poor infrastructure, poor passwords like (dahab123, admin123, etc…), expired or invalid certificates, lack of capable IT department and allowing staff members to browse social networks and to click on spam links or hacker traps were the sole reasons which put thousands of clients in the brink of losing their money.

I was expecting them to be honest, and to release information of how things happened. Instead, they chose to feed us the usual lie. I'm disappointed that Somali people still lack the corporate mindset. They won't earn customers like this.

    The information and data that is published by Ano is detailed and shows extremely sensitive information that will put Dahabshiil in big hot waters. I doubt Anonymous was involved in this case as the international hacker group does not care about Somalis tribalism, Dahabo turned into a major tribalistic firm sponsoring Hersi Gaab and Silaanyo at the cost of many Somalis in north Somalia. Public anger towards Dahabo is growing and people are just fed up with them and this is why the public has welcomed this hack.

Anonymous is hero for me personally not because of this, which they had nothing to do but what they are currently promoting in Australia. Under a new proposed legislation, ISPs and other organizations too much access to personal privacy and data. They are hacking them and proving like Dahabo, they are incapable of safeguarding personal data thus making them heroes.

Dahabshiil has nothing to do with terrorism but whats angering people is their continues interference in Somali public affairs.

hahahahaha your just a fan, unlike Dahabo and Silanyo, I welcome others feedback and criticism. The war on Hersi Gaab, the Burao al Shabab member, will continue. Dahabo got a nice slap in the face and Silanyo and Amina Weris will get one soon rather than later. Their accounts are under Dahabo in which they transfer millions to UAE and London, in the future the illegal money they stealing from the public will be transferred to else where. Be warned.

I don't get it? how can u run a financial company like this, I think dahabshiil can't understand this era and stuck in the era of pen and paper……pls stay there ! hence they deserve to be wiped out !

Dahabo became a laughing joke. I personally want them success but when they install an al Shabab sleeping cell into Somaliland system such as Hersi Gaab aka Hersi Ali Haji Hassan, so called "minister of presidency" it becomes an issue for all Somalis in Somaliland and ever since this fake post for them by President Silanyo, anger has been growing towards them.

Go to Hargeisa and ask ordinary people what they think of Dahabo and the news is not what they wish to hear. They must cut ties with the likes of Hersi who was arrested in Burao in 2008 because of his links to al Shabab by the former regime of Rayale. He was a Dahabo employee and he is their ambassador in Hargeisa. He gives them everything over all the competitors and this has now back fired on them.

Instead of apologizing to their costumers they chose to make public threats as if anyone is scared of their little overcrowded hawala stalls dotted around the world with one or two hardcore Islamists.

They are lucky to operate in free countries like my Australia, they must stop blackmailing the public, holding the media hostage and running Somaliland for Silanyo using Hersi.

They can deny all those facts as much as they like but everyone has internet and eyes of their own.

Somalis do have alternatives and are resourceful people, they trying to get Somaliland to feel sorry for them and are at the moment busy trying to rally Somalis in Somaliland to stand behind them while Hersi loots their public resources.

Who do they think they are?

The demand is simple, you have two months to get rid off Hersi Gaab and say sorry for funding him when in turn he funds his al Shabab friends such as Afghani.

Clock is ticking away instead of sending silly press releases written by someone who hasn't even completed his ESL course yet.

Somaliland has to be truthful and must not live on the falsehood and lies of Hersi, Silanyo and Dahabo.

It seems that whatever positive opinion in favour of Dahabshiil is quickly deleted from the system and only negative ones are given priority.
Therefore can i first say that we should all be given a fair ground and leave the public to make their own decision.
My personal comment is that Dahabshiil has been opertaing in a very transparent manner and it has been a darling of all those people using their efficient services regardless of any Nationality.

As a result result of that then the prophets of doom who are being Bank rolled by the rival companies have spared no effort to see the company reputation brought down, so that they gain , but unfortunately all the enemies effort will have no effect on Dahabshills services or expansion.

Finally to the company owners do not spare in putting all your effort in protecting what you have built for so long in a very genuine way known by all who have used your systen .

But the the truth shall prevail and Dahabshiils expansion all over the world will continue without being affected by all this cheap propaganda .Others have tried before all of you and failed

  I personally agree with mr. abcd on his opinion that if at all the anonymous group have any tangiable evidence against Dahabshiil that they are assisting terrorist , then as a good citizens of whatever country they belong and for the sake of saving human lifes , they should have reported to the security arms who deal in that field because every Country has one.
  
  As such then i very much agree with ABCD that whatever Dahabshiil are being accused of is only to malighn the good name of the company and in addition to that there is an eliment of blackmail from the accusation made
