Somaliland: You’re the Future of the Nation, President tells Graduates

The President H.E. Ahmed Mohammed Mohamud Silanyo has hailed the newly graduated Hargeisa University students as the “future of the country”.

The Head of State yesterday presided over the 9^th batch of graduates numbering 637 who majored in various disciplines in 9 out of the 11 faculties of the campus.

“I today congratulate the graduates for their earnest efforts in going through their training”, said the President, and added, “I likewise hail their tutors and administration while praising the tremendous developments in the country that they have established”.

He said that since the country was a big one with a lot of hopes and expectations “the graduates are thus the seeds of the future of the nation”.

The President also saluted the parents whose efforts were the main catalysts behind the success of the graduands.

Education Minister Hon. Zamzam Abdi Adan said that she was overwhelmed by the large number of students who graduated at one go.

The University chancellor confirmed the number to be the highest ever in the campus’s history. Said Dr. Abdi Hussein, “They are graduating in commerce, Business Management and administration, Islamic Studies, Law, Medical Health, ICT etc” and added, “the graduating 21 doctors are the highest ever in the country” .

Amongst eminent personalities who graced the occasion were the Ministers of Presidency, Planning, Justice and Agriculture the Honoroubles Hersi Hassan Ali, Dr. Sa’ad Ali Shire, Hussein Aideed and Mohammed F. Geedoleh respectively.

Also present were Kulmiye and Ucid chairmen, second Deputy Parliamentary Speaker and former Vice President Abdirahman Aw Ali Farah.

Hon Farah and former cabinet member Ali Mohamed Waran’ade were amongst the graduating students.

My cousin was one of the guys who graduated this year from UoH and I told him to take out warlord Silanyo and al Shabab operative Hersi Gaab but I think he was too kind.

He worked hard but that university is no university and now we have to get him to a real university. I am thinking Turkey or Uganda.

Most of these graduates will not stay in the little triangular because there are no opportunities other than lies from the occupied House of Morgan and Dhiigshiil offices.

People are turning away from them and the old warlord came to brainwash them but he did not succeed because they know the reality too well.

1% will remain in north Somalia…

Silanyo came to see if any of his family members were getting the certificate so he could nominate them for a new fake post like Minister of Gates (one that opens all the doors to Morgan’s house).

Just because Morgan is a criminal doesn’t mean you have right to occupy his house and call it yourself proclaimed “Madaxtooyo”. Two wrongs don’t make it right.

Congratulation to all for such good accomplishment. This just shows the difference between those Kayse represents and Somalilanders. While Somalilanders welcome and host Kayse, his family and his kind in the safety and shelter of our homes, give them food and education, they shower us with hate, meliciousness, and undermind every effort and the good we try to accomplish.
