This is very important. Reaching out to the Somali communities all around the world that have contacts in their respected countries. Large scale investments can be seen by showing the opportunities to investors of development funds.
The mind set should change slowly from failed state to an emerging country. Only with more and more nations recognizing the success.

Mr. Saylii is doing doing a great job for his country. The government of Somaliland is effortlessly promoting Somaliland's cause to the world. The West will definitely engage economic development initiatives as it sees the Somalilanders are ones who are leading the way for investments.

The vp of JSL H.E. MR Zailai is top class distinguished dignitary gentle person who's known
to be moderately well grounded and straight forward in dealing with all kinds of political issues.
I have no doubt that the vp means what he says and that the JSL should be proud to have
good dignitaries of the vp's kind nature of perfect integrity in dealing with difficult issues in professional timely fashion. Unforgetable case was how he handled the Kalshale crisis and many other
issues. Bon voyage off to Sweden and back safely home sweet home.
    Cheers.

I am Ethiopian immigrant in USA wanting to invest in Somalia. I wonder if it is safe for an Ethiopian even to consider?

    • Jambazi says:

Why not invest in your country of birth Ethiopia. With annual GDP growth of 10% Ethiopia is the second fastes growing economy in Africa. Surpassed only by Angola with annual GDP growth of 19%, and mind you Angola is heavily dependend on oil which drives economical growth. However, Ethiopia's economical groth is multi-faceted and it is highly promising, offers a good rate returns, and besides, and unlike somalia, Ethiopia is stable with strong legal enforcement and despute arbitration mechanism. In short, your investiment is safe in Ethiopia. But presently, to invest in somalia is very risky.

  11. Cimraan says:

I believe Somaliland is a good bet to invest in. The economy is more liberal and free. There are no restrictions on money transfer. I believe Somaliland is the most free any where when it comes to money. NO RESTRICTIONS AT ALL. NOW THAT IS what they call free economy.Banks are beginning to establish themselves in Hargeisa. The country is stable and the return on investment is as good as Ethiopia if not more. I can say the economy growth rate of Somaliland is excellent. recently a group of Djibouti business men invested more than $15 million in brand new coca cola company near Hargeisa. That bro, votes for the Stability, confidence and the absence of risk in the Somaliland economy.
