Jamaal presidential bid has hit a tough stretch and it is high time to pull all stops in order to salvage his campaign. With UCID support at all-time high, Faysal Warabe has apparently changed his mind on giving up on his presidential aspirations. He is now convinced that UCID will remain a national party and he is eager to seize on any opportunity to challenge Jamaal for the presidential candidacy slot.

Under popular pressure, Faysal accepted to call an October convention, but this is likely just another ploy. According to the Jamal-Faysal July understanding, each faction get 100 seats with 50 seats  to be allocated at a later time.  Heavy infighting is underway for these additional 50 seats  with Faysal convinced that these votes are crucial for his comeback path. Faysal faction is rumored to be aiming for a deadlocked convention leading to a delay in the decision on UCID presidential ticket until after the muncipal election.

These internal dissensions already  a toll on the party, and this should not be the case. Jamaal should a clear path to the part nomination and not be hindered by multiple Faysal about –faces. Time to save private Jamaal from the clutches of Faysal renewed ambitions.
