Somaliland: Four Students held hostage to Be Released Soon

The town of buhoodle seems to be the center of focus for the last few days with negotiation currently underway in the town for the release of four students who were kidnapped in the village of sool-jogto  in buhoodle region last week.

With unconfirmed reports citing the negotiation for the release of the hostages are currently taught to be in the final stages and that the four kidnapped teenagers will be freed today.

The four kidnapped students who hail from burco are been held as a bargaining chip by a splinter group of the SSC militia who are demanding the release of one of their leader Mr. Jama Kutiye who is currently been held for terrorism charges by Somaliland government.

Intellectuals, religious leaders, and elders from both buhoodle and burco are spearheading the talks to free the four hostage who are currently been held in a disclosed location in buhoodle in an effort to prevent the acceleration of the situation and the mount anger between the two tribes.

The kidnappings have triggered criticism from every corner of Somaliland including politicians from Buhoodle region who wasted no time condemning the hostage taking.
