Being Ex-Policeman, I would like to suggest that the commissioner of the Police should strength the plain cloth unit which is very important. This unit is very important to gather information from the public itself. They should be trained and given continuous workshops by weekly or fortnightly to enable them to enhance their capabilities, and I am sure that this will help detect the intruders and the public will help to find in their den.

Furthermore, there must be information exchange between the Intelligence Agency, Criminal Investigation Department and the Plain Cloth Police.

The recent terror threats in Somaliland is a clear picture that, we are vulnerable to further serious threats, in every corner of our neighbours both from the land and sea. Being more vigilant, every individual citizen should be a voluntary police officer who is guarding his/her country from the top of the hill and sacrifice all their efforts for the wellfare our people and country.

Congratulation to Somali land's police force for the importance they are giving to the security of the country. They are vigilant and ready to foil the terrorist schemes of Al Shabab and their likes in Somali land. I advise the government to encourage these loyal forces by giving them incentives in the form of money.
