Somaliland: President Silanyo Sends a Congratulatory Message to the Newly Elected President of Somalia

Somaliland President H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud (Silanyo) today sent a cable to the newly elected President H.E.Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud congratulate for his victory which he won by a popular vote.

The statement which was released today by the official Presidential Spokesperson Mr. Ahmed Saleban Dhuxul read as follows:

“On my own behalf and the people of Somaliland, I hereby congratulate the newly elected president of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud who received a four years mandate from majority of votes in parliament’.

On behalf of the republic of Somaliland I also extend congratulations to the outgoing president Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed for not been humble but the way he gracefully accepted the results of vote.

We the people of Somaliland hope the election of H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud will open a new page on a peaceful co-existence, cooperation on security and establishment of a functional government that would spearhead the election of the next president by universal suffrage as is the norm in Somaliland”

“Your Excellency, the government and people of Somaliland pray that Allah Almighty to bless you with wisdom to rule and to ease your tenure in office, having said that we also hope that our two neighboring countries will partner together in working towards a betterment of peace in Horn of Africa”

I Support the President of The Republic of Somaliland sending Congratulatoy to the Newly Elected President of Somalia as they are two Brotherly Countries boudering and they speak one language same as other east and central Africa. Now we have three Brotherly who speak one language are Repulic of Somaliland, Somalia, and Djibouti what a coincident.
