I want to congratulate my State Hawd for reaching the finals. We are a new state that was only established two years ago and already we made it to the finals. We are proud of you boys for the way you played the game and represented your state.
We also congratulate the winners for putting together the better team at the end of the day.
Next year should be Hawd hosting it and Hawd lifting the trophy God-willing. I am from Hawd and M. Jeeh but I am more passionate about Hawd because at the end of the day we have the pride of Somali culture lots of camels and pretty girls mohahahahaha. Hargeisa has trash and few hotels.
The stadium looks very ugly it does not look like national stadium at all. The outcome of the was pre decided by the referees. Haud was the better team and most of their opportunities were denied by the referees.
Shame on you Ali Farah. Stop using such comments and stay away from Somaliland, because you are not from Hawd or anywhere else in Somaliland. I am from Hawd and I conceded the defeat, because its football and no hard feelings.
We are fed up of those Somaliland haters come in between us, and make such stupid comments.
The name Hawd should not be used for a tiny region in Somaliland's southern border. Hawd is the historic name of our entire region in Ethiopia, and therefore its meaning should not be distorted. There is no shortage of appropriate names for Baligubadle region to be called and so for the benefit of our land and people in Ethiopia this name should not be abused by Somaliland's politicians.
Anyway, congratulations to both Maroodijeex and ''Hawd'' teams.
You are right Mr. Abraham, even though I belong to this region recently given this name. Do you know Balicaneh? That is where I came from and its not Baligubadle, but my place is administered from there. maantana hirkaa degay ma Hawd iyo Calaydh baa? I believe we should claim the Reserve Area from those who call themselves Ogadeen. Don't you see that? The 1960 Somaliland constitution clearly says, Somaliland should negotiate with Ethiopia about the Reserve Area.
The reason I said this is that, we Somalilanders do not have anything in that 5th province of Ethiopia, and the Ogadeens think that 5th Province is only for Ogaadeens.
hawd beated Burco kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Yes Burco was beaten by Hawd but that's OK as we won two of the last three tournaments – the other was won by Sanaag so it was time for Maroodijeex to take the trophy to the west side.
Congratulations to Maroodi Jeex, inshallah I hope the government can plan building better stadium's (with grass) in the near future.
Soccer/football isn't about grass or straight lines or how many soccer balls you have. Its the spirit of the game that counts most. Many developed nations cant host a peaceful match like the one in Burao.
Don't come here with your negative comments.
Mashallah, I am very proud of the haud team they did well to get to the final. inshallah next year we will lift the trophy, and well done to maroodi jeex. But what do you expect after all it is the capital.
Hawd team really deserves a praise, nobody expected including I that they will arrive at the final stage of this tournament since they were new to the Somaliland national sports. I am really proud of them and hope all the best. They defeat Sanaag, Togdheer and Awdal in which anyone of these could be a champion.
I also congratulate Maroodijeex team who win the tournament.
Long live Somaliland.
