    Dear Ishaq and Bynah
I well come the report of encouraging Somaliland produce and trade, but the country needs more from the government. It needs government to draft development policy and use its media resources focus on development issues rather than the top leader simply participating such trade fare opening ceremony.
Also, what is interesting is the picture above which I am sure the Somalilandpress reporter took it in the ceremony, it caries Ji'iir wearing blue/navy suit standing next to the president, this means the mayor of Hargeisa who I am sure many of you will agree with me is probably established good relations with the new government which is in one way good sign and gesture and on the other hand means the new president has no idea where to start development, because he would not have been satisfied taking picture with Ji'iir. Ji'iir, whose Hargasians calls him the Mayor of flights (for that he spend more time in flights rather than engaging duties)…. PLS read with the next comment

….From the above comment….In order the president to begin development program, he should clear the way and remove disdained local councilors by holding sooner rather than late the 3/4 years over due elections. Ji'iir headed Maroodi-Jeeh local councillors who came to existence in 2002 and nothing is evident to date they did for the capital let alone the Region. I would hope Allah will guide the president to remove officials who are obstacle Somaliland to move forward, so that young educated and enthusiastic country men and women who are currently trapped under the shadow of having no access to political decision making processes will be able to replace officials like Ji'ir.

Actually you'd be surprised by the baskets. I know that there are small companies that have been set up in Kenya to make an sell these "little baskets". They employ local women, use local grass/straw/materials and export the baskets to the E.U and the U.S. and market/sell them ass "fair-trade baskets" with a premium price tag, these "fair-trade" baskets are sold in boutiques and high end shops – and the companies make good profits. WE NEED MORE INNOVATIVE COMPANIES LIKE THIS IN SOMALILAND, and we need access to those markets.

      A product is a product.

I remember Mr.Kayse use to call Mr.Negative. He is negative today. Give the country a break Mr.Kayse. Thousand Kilometre starts with one step. We shall reach where you want if we agree and not to disagree like Arabs. God, the Almighty bless Somaliland. Progress is at the door-steps dear Kayse.

Small businesses are the backbone of every economy. Good steps forward. Compare this kind of event to the mayhem in other parts of the region, and we Somalilanders should be grateful and keep going.

to take strides of Economic Developments focused on the locally
made products..this policy change of direction to give special emphasis on
the local wealth resources when also gaining any foreign knowhow
is indeed a worthy cause for sure holds the promises of attaining
highly potential progress and prosperity. For one thing no country is good enough without local wealth production.
