They are all useless if you ask me and in the end, it will be the army that will restore Somaliland's integrity and dignity.

Silaanyo doesnt need to waste money on such Committee, he needs to work with regional powers, go beyond Sool and Eastern Sanag and surround them from every corner and just move in the army.

Finally invite oil, gas and mineral explorers to fund his army, allies and develop towns such as Caynaba and everntually replace Las Anod as the capital of Sool to Caynaba and make it Somaliland's largest army base.

    Brotha Kayse,

Our brothers in SSC need our help not our bullets. We need to show them by actions that they are a part of Somaliland. We need to help them with their infrastructure, security, and economy. If we can do that they will have no choice, but to join the cause of all Somalilanders "PEACE, UNITY & DEVELOPMENT".

the national reconciliation conferences in which all elders and politicians of all Somaliland clans participated has ended successfully in1993, after three years of negotiations. Main resolutions were as follows: Putting an end to all hostilities.
Restoration of Somaliland independence as it was on June 26 1960. Since then
the people of Somaliland coexisted in relative peace and harmony. They also moved on to establishing partiiamentary democracy and state of law. Majority of the population of Sanaag and Sool heil from the nation Shiikh Isaxaaq, who are fiercly pro Somaliland independence. Also the majority of Warsangli and Dhulbahante there support Somaliland. To ignore all these and talk bout an imaginary conflict in these two regions is total ignorance. To ignore the wish of the majority in Sanaag and Sool is a plunder. To go and negotiate with evey tiny group, whose only goal is to go against the will of the majority and use violence to destroy the republic of Somaliland is lack of political sophistication and miscalculation and also lack of patriotism, because in doing so, the government is encouraging more armed groups who also seek the destruction of Somaliland to emerge. The right solution is to take full control of the boder areas

The appointed committee headed by dr gaboose are all from sool and sanaag regions, and although it's needless for snm/rest somaliland to waste time on matters already resolved since 1991-1993 by conferences agreements, treaties, nontheless lets see how this committee who are from these two regions can show the ablity to overcome the disputed issues. However, the somaliland Govt. should not and must not rest till this border issue menace is put to rest with the borders secured.

to Naliye and Ali Somaliland was there before you were born. Dulbahante are the loosers. They gained during the regime Of Siad Barre, after the collapse of the regime, they decided to side with Puntland. Puntland only Darod Clans lives there unlike Somaliland where you have many clans living there. They have no policy after all Suleiman Dafle who is son in law of Siad and is Dulbahante is the person behind SSC, but I can tell you it will never succeed. They Say IN Somali DUUL Maguuro, DAAD baa Guuraa. If dulbahante wants Puntland they can pack and go. No need to fight.

That Somali family are enemy of each other is something that hurts me but was is more is the fact that one tribe can call itself a nation and tries to claim the land of another tribe which has fought for their independence. Inshalaah I totally agree with brother Sabriye in the fact that we need to defend the beloved land of the Darwish and Harti tribes. I am already part of the SSC movement in America Minnesota area and I recommend the other brothers to do so and inshalaah we will start a war that is unnecessary but rightful.

It is not the first time the Somaliland govermant sent a delagation this reagion or elders from sub clans of Sool region have a meeting, As it was motioned one of the most attractiveness articles in http://www.hadhwanaagnews.com/ p.20 “ The analytic view of the Situation of Sool Region” it is very important that the elders in region to comprehend , sharing with their experience for last fifteen years, what is causing the complicatedness.

They had more than one gathering and even their last conference they declared that Somaliland should leave the region. Today they again decided to negotiate the new Somaliland government.
However, Somaliland is governing the region and its policy was not altered. It is only power in the region. The world give Somaliland a green light and understand that Somaliland have right to reach its border as other sovereign countries did.
According to the international law, Sool is a part of Somaliland as Ogaden and NFD regions are also a portion of Ethiopia and Kenya.
As it was written in the history books, Somali, one of the strongest military ineast Africa, was already tried to lunch a military offensive against those administrations in order to claim and recapture those grounds, but regardless this effort yet the international and AU law had never been recognized this territory as part of great Somalia.
Having realized that today the elders of the Sool region will either take a right decision which can end this conflict or they will be part of disputed border and wait as world, the current president of SOMALI and Somaliland will talk about their future.

        "have been forcibly taken"

        from who?

NOT FROM Somalia that's for sure (cause it didn't exist). But you could say that power/governance was forcibly taken from the people of those regions.

All these is useless I think they give those two nomads too much attention. Just do as I say and every thing will be fine. Secure Galmudug alliance thats more important than SSC villages and the two towns in eastern Sanags.

Bring in the oil and gas explorers and cut deal with the leaders of Galmudug by introducing the same explorers to them to also explorer their large reserves of natural uranium (central Somalia).

Use the cash to build up more elite forces and turn Caynaba into the largest Somaliland military base. Also create one in Dhahar.

Bring in the British special forces to train our army and also invite Galmudug soldiers to take in joint drills.

Station 2000 of our men in Galkacayo along with Galmudug. Secure all check points for ONLF, SSC, al shabab terrorists.

Make Caynaba the center for education, jobs, and turn it into a growing city. So the first thing Caynaba needs after military base is University and provide no fund what so ever to the so called Nugal University.

In the long run my solution will be the fruitful solution. All these little conferences and sending poor "suldaano" to Buhoodle are jokes! Please…

This is a national issues not a clan one and all Somaliland leaders and intellects from other parties of Somaliland should have been added into this committee. My concern is, lets say this committee Allah forbid come up with the idea that Sool and East Sanag is not part of Somaliland, will this president go for that? And how do you think people from other part of Somaliland react to that kind of decision? And what mandate did this president gave this committee, when he appoint them?

BUT give diplomecy a chance marka hore so there's no excuses hadhow. I think it's upto the ppl of Sool/Sanaag region to decide wether they want peace or war and clearly this new administration is trying to give them that choice.

I am glad the Internet war lords are not involved in the decision making process of S/land. It seems too many of the boys who commented on the article play too many violent video games, and think real war is the same as the one they play on their play stations and X-boxes. War brings death and destruction that is permanent, it does not go away when the game ends or when you decide you’ve had enough and it’s time to go to the kitchen for a snack. So unless you are going to actively take part in it, I suggest you stop the war rhetoric. Our young men would die in a war, and Allah knows we (Africans) have had enough deaths of our youth. As the Somali proverb goes “a son/boy is not born in war, but a son/boy dies in war". I am a peace loving person, because I got to really experience the good quality of life that peace brings with it I want each and every person in S/land, Somalia, Africa and the whole world to have the same experience as I and the rest of the peace lovers did. Lastly I ask each one of you to remember Allah before you make such irresponsible comments, as every word you say will be a witness for you or against you on the day of judgement. Nabad iyo caano.

we need dialogue with the SSC region. The greatest test of nationhood. The success of the nation is oftern measured by its response to regional conflict. Remember Siad Barre.. SNM was formed and he immaturely and stupidly bombed Somaliland.. Somaliland should take the higher road, compromise and bring peace to the SSC region..
lets explore new opportunities to bring peace in the region.. Plus all should consider the cost of war.. War cost money.. Any war will set the goals and ambitions of somaliland back atleast 10 years.. Remember Mr. Silanyo has inherited a bankrupt finance department.

No war…Pull out of SSC region and name a new Somaliland governor.. that actually works in the region,…………..
