Somaliland: NAFAQO holds annual general meeting

HARGEISA –- Somaliland Meat Sellers Association (Nafaqo) have held their annual General meeting at Imperial Hotel and elected a president for the coming 2 years.

During the annual general of the Somaliland meat sellers association a vote was conducted to elect a new chairman to head the meat seller’s association by members of the body , in which they choose Mr. Dayib Omar Adan as the new Chairman and his vice Mrs. Shuun Hussien Elmi while Mr. Issa  Kayse Warmahaye as the general secretary of Nafaqo.

Mr. Abdirahman Haji Suufi a member of executive committee of Nafaqo speaking after the vote lauded the outgoing chairman of Nafaqo and his team for not only the hard work they had achieved during their time at the Helm of the organazation but also for the wise decisions they had taken to accelerate the meat seller’s body to new heights.

Acting Maroodi Jeeh Governor Mr. Rashiid Ahmed Muhumed who was present during the meeting praised the way the members of body conducted the process of electing the new head the meat sellers association in which he termed a smooth transition of power.

The Presidential Advisor on Youth Affairs speaking on the occasion said,” I am honored today to be among decent people and he also praised conduct manner in which they had conducted the vote in which he termed as civilized, he added the incoming chairman should continue with the good work.

Lastly the incoming chairman of Nafaqo Mr. Dayib Omar Adan thanked all those who gave him the chance to lead and serve the organization ,he promised will do his best in order to serve the body to the best of his ability.

The meeting was attend by chairman of Kulmiye central committee Hon Muse Bihi, the Presidential advisor on  Youth Affairs, Director General of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the acting Maroodi Jeeh governor and  among other dignitaries.

Nafaqo is best known for the important role it plays in replenishing the Hargeisa group of hospital with daily free food stuff donation which off course is vital for feeding patients at the hospital.
