Somaliland: MPS Should Consider GG&AC Carefully

Guurtida--300x225

It is with patriotic hearts and progressive mindset that we call upon the parliamentarians to make best use of their August House, their honour and integrities to at least leave a mark worthwhile at least for once.

Each and every Somalilander would be happy, relaxed and quite hopeful once the good governance and anticorruption commission (GG&AC)  is armed and given ample ammunitions to go about its job as the people’s watchman.

We are of course thankful that the Head of State established the commission.

Despite the time elapse since it came into being, the body should no longer be a toothless dog for it can’t guard a premise or anything for that matter by merely barking.

We hope beyond all hopes that a befitting Act could be enacted to help the country develop well.

Cases of articles rendering other legal clauses and phrases null-and-void are rampant within our constitution. Although the MPs have done almost nothing in thrashing out the inconsistencies over the years, we expect this one to have no impeding bottlenecks

It is because of these that we ask the MPs to be quite serious hence delve deeply into areas that may not be conducive to the smooth operations of the GG&AC laws, hence, again, do the necessary beforehand.

For the people’s watchmen as MPs are supposed to be, the active arm that would have made their work quite easier by supplementing facilitations is gg&ac commission.

Congratulations Halatosie

We thank the President for appointing Haglatosie to the cabinet.

By naming Hon. Suleiman Ahmed Isse, the Head of State has empowered one of the many arms of citizenry who would really serve the country well to achieve lasting peace, stability and, above all, our esteemed aspirations.

Following the recent summit the cabinet had under the President’s leadership, this step is definitely a positive one coming so soon after their resolutions.

To have a cohesive solid and united public is any national priority.

For SL, no stone should be left untouched on unturned in the course of not only achieving but that of maintaining public harmony.

Hon. Haglatosie would of course, by the new mandate, be empowered with the national authority of not only resettling Buhoodle and its environs’ displaced persons, but all over the country.

Thanks your Excellency and Congrants and good luck honourable minister in your new tasks.
