Somaliland: Information Minister Meets Turkish Delegation

HARGEYSA -The Minister of Information Hon Abiib Diriye Nuur (Abiib Timacade) received Officials from the Turkish Prime Minister office today at the Somaliland Ministry of Information and National Guidance.
The Turkish delegation who are part of “TIKA, the Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency, which fall under the Turkish Prime Minister’s Office were given a tour of the various departments of the Ministry of Information and National by the Director General at the Ministry of Information Hon Rashid JibrilYusuf who briefed them on the workings of the Different departments.
Hon Abiib Diriye Nuur said that he reckoned that the Turkish Foreign Policy toward Africa is not only based on economic and trade objectives but also incorporates a comprehensive approach which includes initiating much need development through project assistances, he once again thanked the Prime Minister and the people of Turkey for the brotherly support to Somaliland.
The visiting Turkish delegation is in the country to access areas which need assistance most, they had earlier pledged to upgrade Laboratories in five major secondary schools and to distribute computers in all secondary schools in the country.

I don't hate turkey or anything but it is like getting help from another poor country, they should help their own people first rather then help somalis. Somalis shouldnt look for help, they should do business with china, japan, korea and the rest of Asia
If Turkey is Genuine in intention to make a huge difference then i expect to see Knowledge and skill transfer:
- They have a highly developed Agricultural sector
- They have extensive experience in maximizing harvest yields and the food processing sectors.
- They have a highly developed system of distribution and logistics to penetrate multiple markets
If they are only extending their hand to acquire the loyalty of a future dependent Nation then i will SAY :) Gardaash Give my Salam to Attaturk and don't come back.
Somalis are better off looking to India to gain knowledge and skill and even secure trade relations as they are the Future CHINA.

You're focusing on Somaliland and it's relation with the rest of the world which, honestly, shouldn't be any of your concerns.
Here's is the dilemma: Somalia has the longest coastline in Africa, fairly arable land for agriculture and abundance of livestock, yet, we see or hear through the media repeatedly, thousands and thousands or millions, at times, Somalis are dead or about to die every year due to starvation.
Please educate me as to why is that? note, don't try to shoot down the question and say it's a false propaganda made by the West……because that isn't the correct answer..
Why hasn't Somaliland took the chance to financially and politically support their brothers and sisters in the South? Did it once occur to you that the starvation occuring in Southern Somalia is becuse of the occupation of Al Shabaab? Are aware that majority of Al Shabaab, evil so-called holy men starving people to death, are majority Isaaq and northerner. Why hasn't Somaliland's army, about 800,000 strong, work towards fighting alongside Somali's Army, AMISOM, Puntland's Army, and other countries' armies? Clearly, there is severe isolation, hate, and complete SELFISHNESS coming from "somalilanders" that I refuse to be a part of coming from that region of Somalia. @ osman Qaal Majority of those people you always see time and again are the Somali-Bantu/Somali farmers that either lost their crops due to drought or stopped altogether growing food because of being priced out constantly from the markets by food coming in from outside the country. After which they then go to Mogadishu to look for work in the same markets that didn't want their products only to end up on a handout from the same people that destroyed their livelihood.
Somaliland is Protecting 80,000 roughly Koonfurians in camps across the country and these People who fled the war and terror in the South have food to eat, they get education and they are safe from RAPE, Murder and organ exploitation that occurs in places like Puntlaan and Dadaab.
There was no starvation in the south under Shabab. The droughts did not kill any Somalis and the reality if available for anyone who wishes to investigate the actual causes. The TFG and their Foreign handlers BLOCKED all food transport to any Region under shabab. Food was used as a weapon to defeat SHABAB so cut the bullshit about drought. The population in the South are at mercy of criminals with no intention of preserving live or respecting human dignity. Let us Hope Sheikh Hassan is a man that will change past policy and put the population FIRST above foreign interest.

You're a fool bro, Somalia overall has been through enough turmoil, particularly Sland. What do have against people who want to govern themselves? or having 2 more independent Somali states. Slanders are no less Somali then anyone else, Somaliland is just the name of the state but ethnically we are Somali and proud. Turkey believes strongly in the unity of the Somali Republic same way Somali people support Turkiye unity and will never endorse the separatist PKK agenda despite being totally different ethnic to majority Turks unlike Somalis who may not be a a tight-knit race but indeed are one homogeneous race in every aspect.
No one will ever endorse few sub-clans claiming to be a state and trying to hold everyone else hostage just because of past regime's mistake that killed all Somalis and left Somalia stateless.
Turkiye will never entertain the separatists silly protest and isolation. Turkey believes in globalization not miniaturization that is why it is in Africa to expand no decrease.
Somaliland represents small scale views by few sub clans and is an idea for the average village person not someone from today's modern and globalized world.
Take Turkish aid from the Somali Republic and do with something worthwhile and not your tribal things like the Kuwait fund for the airport which all went to Silaanyo's nephew.

We also know Somaliland tribal leaders want destabilized Somalia so they build their argument around "north peace south disaster, support peace, recognize democracy (tribal voting system, where even unionist parties are banned)"
Once al Shabab is destroyed, all secret documents and financial channels will emerge, many leads will take us to Burao and Hargeisa.
