Somaliland: Kulmiye Delegation return after visit to China

WAJEELE(Somalilandpress)-Delegation led by the current ruling Peace, Unity and Democracy better known as ‘Kulmiye Party’ Chaitman Mr. Muuse Abdi Biihi that was on short official trip to China returned to the country. Mr. Bihi and his officials were welcomed at the border town of Wajeele with Ethiopia. The delegation was greeted by the General Secretary of the ruling party Mr. Hassan Said Yusuf, the General Director of Ministry of Information Mr. Faisal Ali Sheikh, the Head of Presidential protocol Mr. Mohamed Elmi, Members upper and Lower Houses, officials from Gabiley authority and many party supporters.
Firstly, the Chairman of Kulmiye party Mr. Muuse addressed briefly to the fans at Wajaale and thanked for their support and the officials that received them cordially.Mr. Muse spoke on the purpose of their trip to China and said that they saw Chinese people who have showed interest and willingness to Somaliland. He said, “We went to China and we saw with our eyes that many Chinese traders are eager to come to Somaliland in a bid to start trade ties with us. Those people know something about Somaliland that we do not know. Everyone we saw said and enquired about Somaliland and expressed their intentions of coming to Somaliland. You cannot imagine how Chinese Business people are keen on embarking trade relations with Somaliland.”The Chairman stated very clearly that group of Chinese traders will pay trip to Somaliland soon.
Once the delegation departed for Gabiley, they were given ruptures’ welcome from party supporters and Gabiley officials. The delegation headed by the Chairman was accompanied by the Spokesman of the ruling party Mr. Mohamed Kaahin Ahmed and Mr. Ahmed Abdi Dheere who is expatriate member of Kulmiye.

The Chinese people know something about Somaliland that we do not know. How could that be? Mr. Bihi, are you saying that a foreigner knows your country better than Ssomalilanders? What did they know that we don't know and were the Chinese people here before the Somali people and is that something a politician should say? Can somebody enlighten me, I am lost here!
The Chinese are emerging supper power. They are in competion with the United States of America and the European Union, that is why they are eager to come to Somaliland. We have to be careful how to proceed trading with China and watch out for pitfalls in any business agreement because they are very canny business people.

Hello my fellow Las Anod boy! Mujaahid Musa Bihi didn't fight in eastern regions during the liberation of our beloved country. In 1988 mujahid Bihi fought in Hargeisa and western regions and he was second in comand. Also there was no fighting that took place in your Las Anod town at that time and SNM never fought in Las Anod.
In 1988 the issaqs were being slaughtered in HUGE numbers and the poor bare footed SNM men was struggling to save their people and in 1988 Haregisa and burco was under seige so how the hell can SNM be in las anod at that time. My father's brother was a great SNM commander and let me say we are proud of SNM mujahids. Pointing fingers at the victims. Gosh.Why can't we move on and forget about stupid past war, what matters is the present and most Somalilanders just want to unite their people and build their country that they once lost when they united with Somalia. And there is nothing stopping for a dulbahante to be the president of Somaliland but lets not bring out old wounds. Almost all of us here terribly lost families or relatives

The Somaliland Govt's. ruling Kulmiye Party Chief Muj Bihi and his accompanying team
delegation are back home after a short official familiarisation visit to China. This official trip was
a follow up of a previous official trip of President Silaanyo, FM DR. Omar, Presidency Min. MR. Hersi
and other Govt. Officials for bilateral relations between Somaliland and China on all areas of
interests to the two countries.

from my point of view somalia & ethiopian were at each other throat, and they were each funding rebels from both side of the borders. muammad siad barre wasnt a triblist, he was just a dictator without seeking the goodwill of the somali people. The deaths should also be blamed on Snm, they wer probably firing mortars indiscriminately from densely populated areas.
what happened in mogadishu in 1991, wen Aidid was knocking every darood house & killing them instantly? that was a pure genocide, but do you see them daroods complaining? No, cuz Aidid wasn't representing the hawiye, he was just a moron who had beef with MSB.

What happened between Somaliland and Somalia Civil Govts of 1960s-1969s, and again, 1969s-1991s
Gen. MSB Military coup detat brutal dictator that created revolts of SSDF,SNM,USC, brought down the Military Regime to collapse in 1991 by the SNM liberating Somaliland and USC liberating Somalia.
PS SSDF failed in the struggle and disbanded before 1991 while the other two did not give up fighting
till victory!. Now 20 years after the SNM victors and Somaliland has since gone through reconciliation
democratic processes and thanks God today Somaliland Republic is stable and peacefully
functioning Nation where all the Somaliland clans have power sharing between all the 6 Provinces
of this peaceful loving country. Sadly Somalia under the victor USC run into underground crisis
which killed their liberation struggles and henceforth Somalia after GEN. MSB never saw peace
ever since as we speak. Puntlandgeezer do yourself a favour and leave Amal alone and the SNM
that you talking about is as strong a good governance with the good people of Somaliland as a
nation and country just like their brothers rulers of Ethiopia and Eritrea. The 3 rulers have ousted
previous Regimes and are now solid rulers in their respective countries.

Have you heard of the old saying "those that do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it". Somaliland made a mistake in 1960 by joining with Somalia to repeat the same mistake after such a bloody lesson would simply be foolish.
Besides as a Puntlander it's ironic that you should be the one to say that we should put tribalism aside when in Puntland's constitution it clearly states that citizen is only available to Daroods, and only Daroods can rule Puntland. There is no such prevision in the Somaliland constitution. Citizenship is only based on whether your paternal grandfather was living in Somaliland before 1960s.
We dont need to be reporting about these guys and why is it that every time some minor guy goes abroad, the Somaliland gov and its agencies line up almost 200 people just to welcome a minor who had achieved nothing in his expensive trip? I think Somalilanders are not aware the gov is spending money they take from your pockets in the name of tax/cashuur and spend it this way. Its useless and I spit on their bald batches (bidaar).

Who can deny that Gen Aideed killed in south Somalia more somalis within few months (e.g. Baidoa seige) than the military regime killed in 21 years? yet many somalilanders consider him a ''somali hero'', why? i guess because he once was an ally of SNM, where's subjectivity people? As for 1988 massacres, we tend to close our eyes of what happened prior that date. Silaanyo said during an old interview (available on Youtube) that there were disagreement among SNM wether to sneak to Somalia or not (after Somalia and Ethiopia agreed not to support rebels anymore) and some considered the plans to attack ''suicidal''. My point here is that SNM regardless of any intentions commited grevious military mistakes and put civilians in danger, something even foreign sources mention. We need to see the whole picture, war between SNM and military regime wasn't one between angels and evils.
