Sadly Neither the Al qaeda linked Al shabaab nor the weak TFG protected by the Uganda/Burundi
mercenary Amisom so- called peace keeping mission …all add up to not having the popular mandate
of the civil Societies of Somalia's aspirations for truely representative elected Govts. by the People
and for the people etc. Sadly Somalia has no functioning Govts. since 1991, and remains under the yoke of
foreign occupation. And sadly for as long as the Amisom continues to operate in Somalia
the crisis will conrinue to escalate and deteriorate. If the IC are serious to bring about peace and
security..Amisom must pack up and go home..leaving the Somalia to its people to settle their
differences between themselves…without much foreign interventions, it could be possible for the
Somalia Somalis to find ways to overcome their crisis.
    Cheers.

Mohamed, you can't excuse what happened to those students and their parents. No amount of spin can justify what happened. These victims were not TFG or Amison, they were innocent Somalis hoping to build a future. Somalilanders rightly condemn these kind of actions.

There is no spin Saleeban he is stating facts! These people have been abandoned and even prayed upon by both al shabab and the tfg. ITs sad that this happened I wish all the families samir iyo iman everyone is heading in that direction the only difference is the time and circumstance.

This is the very reason Somaliland exists! It is a direct opposition to the status quo of Africa. That is what Mohamed Cheers wanted to say. This is the reason SOmaliland needs to stay strong because at the end of the day hate us or love us we are the only independent Somali state that is standing!

I think it is time to admit that Somalia can no longer govern itself to the satisfaction of all the local tribes and continuing on this path for another 20 years is impossible. Our people have reached their limit – constant clan warfare, corrupt leaders, opportunistic regional countries and now famine.

It is my belief that the former Italian Somaliland must be put back into foreign rule under some sort of trusteeship. Puntland can not contain the pirates, security is non existent, and the administration has completely alienated its own people. Furthermore, the south is a complete failure and to allow the locals to continue to be sandwiched between the TFG, Al shabab, AMISON and Ethiopia's plots is unjust.

I say ITALIAN Somaliland should be put under Turkish rule for 20-30 years. Turkey is both a Muslim and Modern nation. This should give the region some time to heal, rebuild, grow and develop. My opinion!

Somalia had is its fair share of time to get their act together. So dont use foreign intervention as an excuse you could'nt do it before and will not do it in the future. People have to stand against these wanna be Sheiks that are using the name of allah and the religion in vein. They are nothing but kufaars, killing their own brothers and sisters they should be burn in hell.

Yea?? so the Sheikhs go to hell fire when the weak tfg warlords and their Amisom mercenaries will go to paradise. Think again Omar. All those warring factions are the agents of Ebliss Satanic agents.
Saleebaan Xaaji says students…some media reports indicate that the story is not only students but
      targetted TFG/Amisom.
      Cheers.

You forgot 2006 mass uprising that crushed warlords. You forgot UIC waves that scared the-shit out of Riyale and the former Puntland leader, don’t remember his name?

Since 1992, Somalia was the playground of foreign powers. People never had given the chance to sort their issues out.

Don’t forget, Somaliland is part of the grand project for Somalia. Once Mogadishu is handled, you will be next. How, I don’t know.

It is up to the Somali people, north or south, to think ahead or wait till it’s too late.

What kind of bs is that considering al shabab is funding and helping train the SSC, and the CIA and FBI especially from whats going on in MN is looking into you lot. Now you want to claim this nonsense online just to bs. Really do you have nothing else to do but bull shizt online?

Hey here is a thought how about you pick up a rifle and join puntland, likely outcome you try to "surprise" attack Somaliland soldiers and when defeated and get some of your folks killed bytch and moan that you were attacked all the while running back to bossasso aka bassaso you guys are the cancer of the SOmali people, you provide only bad leadership but still want to rule the somali people. Like that guy Calvin the Paid in Full its bad when an idiot is given money, or an idiot allowed to rule.

The Somali people no matter what country Somaliland, Somalia, and every other region aint having you lot rule anytime soon.

Sometimes I question all the reports that come out of Somalia. Although this explosion may well be real but I still wonder the if the numbers reported is real. Somalia leaders and warlords are corrupted. It all be over exaggerated. A recent report published claims the famine affected numbers with in Somalia was exaggerated. As it was based on a prediction and measuring of the scale rather then actual data. It found by the time funds were collected the rain season arrived resulting of food Aid flooding the market or sold by the corrupt leaders. In addition, of the reported 40 billion in Aid given to Somalia in the past 20yrs very little reached the people themselves who relied instead on remittances from their families abroad.

Somalia pseudo government only made progress in the past 3 months. Only because of pressure applied to the TFG and end of EU funding. Then the drought was announced as a famine. Really it makes one wonder if buying weapons and military equipment is the reason behind all the money unaccounted for.

Not forgetting that the current TFG President was formerly the head of the ICU??? Something doesn't add up.

All those Somalis immigrating within Africa or Yemen etc should be brought back and resettled by security organisation. Countries like S.A, Mozambique, Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan and Libya etc should make steps to return them. Countries security to be strengthened and Naval Ships patrol the seas for pirates etc. It doesn't make sense allowing continued migration when the country needs its people to rebuild it and work together. I urge all neighbouring countries including Arab to resettle immigrants back.

As Saeed Furaa wrote on 2009:

At the end of the day the fundamental question regarding the bombing continues to haunt us all. Perhaps the issue can be reduced to a simpler explanation: “the angry youth failed by life” whereas the larger question that confronts us as thinking people is to find out where the evil originates?.
