The justice promised justice should be delivered. No matter how sensitive the case might be….

I do agree justice must be and seen to be done no matter what you position in government is.
However the fairness and impartiality of the those judging the citizen must above suspicion.
The power of the executive must be limited when it comes to the justice system no decree or we have the siad barre state again.
Until yesterday when defendants were arraigned in the court, the public had no idea about the fact that other than the three government officials were jailed for the corruption scandal. This clearly demonstrates how biased and unprofessional our media is.
In a previous post, I stated that the issue of the three government officials started irritating me because no one else was jailed and no court appearances were reported. I do retrieve my words now and fully condemn the media for not reporting properly.
We all hope they receive a fair hearing, however judging by how this case has been haddled thus far, it is not a good omen of things to come. I could be wrong ofcourse and i hope now that this case has been passed to the court system for hearing and judgement then a fair and transparent hearing will ensue for all not just the defendants.
Why the Government not want to jail a other suspects like Xirsi and some tribal men of Silanyo those are in present Burao town?
I am with the Interior Ministry to arrest any wrongdoer and try him/her in court for the general peace and orderliness of the society. But the procedures followed for such actions must be in accordance with the penal codes of the state. The defendant should have an access to legal representation. Our problem with the judiciary is that we haven't had an impartial administration of justice for a long time. For this reason, if we want to have a clean society, we should improve our government systems, especially the judiciary.
Silanyo needs to resign asap this HJ tribal militiaman is abusing my next of kin in Sahil. Enough is enough from today we the poeple of Sahil reject the secession of the HJ enclave and commit ourselves to be part of our beloved country Somalia as known by 'Sahil state of Somalia'
I say let the law of the land rule!!! If these men are innocent so be it, if guilty then they will serve their time in jail! This case will set precedence & is sending a message to all those in public service & in position of power that nobody is above the law. Anyone that has their hands in the cookie jar will be caught sooner or later and put to trail!…..Hopefuly this is only the begining and every tuug in Somaliland will be named and shamed & put behind bars!
