Boobe Yusuf Duale has become the official opposition to the administration of President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud “Silaanyo”.

With the Parliament and the House of Elders in deep slumber caused by either too much money being poured into many a pocket or macawis or shaal, allegedly, or just a general malaise and lethargy brought about the fact that aside from the ruling party, KULMIYE’s deputies and elders, the rest, have just gone missing.

Boobe Yusuf Duale recently hired and fired by minister Hersi, oops, I meant President Silaanyo, has let the cat out of the bag.

Boobe Yusuf Duale, and intellectual and academic was doing fine thank you at the Academy of Peace and Development, before he was called to try and get the Ministry of Information sorted out.

Great Idea at the time. But, Boobe is an independent soul, neither interested in lining his pockets nor the sycophancy that comes with the title.

Do not forget that Boobe has seen it all. From the days of repression to destruction to regeneration, he has been in Somaliland throughout. Good times, Bad times, Tough times. The man has seen it all.

With patriotic pride in his chest, he reported for duty. But, it become clear that Boobe was drawn into a vegetable garden. No one of his stature was around, just a bunch of vegetables.

Boobe tried to get his ministry organised. Re-organisation, the dreaded word to the freeloaders. Boobe took on a few connected men, and lost.

Still, this should be a lesson to all would be men of calibre invited to work for this administration. Your aims and goals maybe noble, but as long as you are not prepared, allegedly, to “ceelka inaad ka cabtid” (Drink from the well) then you are not one of the boys and girls.

Corruption and miss-management exist everywhere in the world, but, what is taking place in Somaliland at this precise moment, has never been seen before.

Before you join in, talk to Boobe.
