Somaliland: Army Clashes With Militia in Erigavo City

ERIGAVO(Somalilandpress)- According to reports received from Erigavo fighting broke out between Somaliland army and militia group that tried to create inter clan fighting in the city this afternoon. Khalid Ahmed resident of Erigavo city confirm to Somalilandpress that Somaliland army clashed with militia group that managed to come inside the city last three days without being noticed in order to distable the peace in the city. Somaliland forces who had an order to arrest anyone that carried weapon in the city came under fire when they tried to arrest the militia. From there fighting erupted thus resulting three officers dead and one militia.
The militia group which are hiding in the city and using residential homes as trenches and shields caused Somaliland army to demolish homes, and other trading posts in the city center.

I always say: Isaaq nation are politically naive. They can not even figure out that what they think a mere bolldy incidents between local indiviudals are in fact much much sinster than they can ever ever have the slightest wit for. How on earth these Isaaqis will ever know that these repeated incidents are waged by politically motivated an armed group called Kavi, based in Garowe and have links with notorious SSC, which all dhulbahante radical milita bent on territorial expansion as it name suggest?!!!! How on earth these simple Isaaqis would ever raise to the occasion and gear up for defeating these Daroodism upraisal, when they have no clue of the endless these Dhulbahante militas harbour for anything connected to Isaaq and Somaliland as state and as a nation. The solution to lack of political sophistication of the drowsing Isaaqis is the creation of much more political awareness and resole to defeat these fascist clan based milita.

The biggest mistake the Somaliland army can make is to let the militia (whoever they are) come inside the city. You don't fight inside a city but confront it outside. I hope they learn from that mistake. It's probably because of eid that they were relaxed and ppl who don'y fear Allah take advantage and bring the trouble inside a peacefu city

This conflict all started a while back ago with the killing of a senior Muse Ismail (Habar Younis) police officer by a group of Dhulbhante. Now, a few weeks later, the Habar Younis retaliated by killing another equally innocent Dhulbhante police officer – Eye for an Eye nonsense.
Regardless, both killings were harm, but the motive behind the first killing must be investigated, since this is what triggered the reprisal. Someone is trying to ignite a fire in my native city of Erigabo and my guess would be either Faroole's intelligence services or die hard SSC fanatics who are angry at the growing bond the Dhulbhante and Isaaq. In recent times, Kayse, one of the well known and respected SSC commanders and leaders has decided to create a new political party and run for elections. THIS is probably the major buzz that has pushed anti-Somaliland forces to push for this fitnah in an otherwise unified city and peoples.

I second, what your stating is the truth cause I was in Erigavo when the first killing took place. Subhanallah, it's so sad that Puntland do not wish peace for the people of Erigavo and can not stand to hear the word 'Somaliland' uttered. It's especially sad when you pray and hope for peace in Somalia/Puntland. After all one should love for their brother, what they love for themselves. I hope that the situation improves cause most of my family live in Erigavo. It was heartbreaking speaking to them, during eid knowing that their lives could be in danger. Inshallah may Allah(swt) grant the Muslims peace, wherever they may be.
UPDATE:
It has been revealed that the extreme splinter faction of the SSC in conjunction with the VP of Puntland, cabdi Samad Cali Shire, held a meeting in Garowe in which a plan was made to assassinate the Minister of Information Xabsadi (Dhulbhante). They viewed him has a threat and did not want him to succeed in helping restore peace between the 2 brother tribes of Ceerigabo.
Today, as Xabsadi held a meeting with the Garads of both the Dhulbhante and Habar Younis brother tribes, group of assassins attacked the house in which the meeting was taking place. A battle between them and SL forces took place, 2-3 soldiers died with 6 injuries on SL side. The assassins were defeated and none of those at the meeting got killed or injured.
Furthermore, both the brother tribes have made peace, Xabsadi succeeded and now Puntland's neck is once again on the line. First it was the Ministers of Sool region that were killed a few months ago and now this OPEN attempt on another Minister's life.

Ceerigabo was always a much better place than Las Anod; however, the same groups that have made Las Anod unsafe have not set their sights on Ceerigabo.

Erigavo is one of our major cities and untill now a peaceful one. How could our government allow this to happen? Somaliland too should start assassinating Badland ministers. We should fund all the criminals in Garowe, Bosaso, Galkacayo, and in every other town in that hellhole to destroy their peace. A whole regiment should be setup by the SLand army to bomb kill and create mayham in pirateland until they are forced to give up their dirty tactics. Also our secret services should collect information about all the members of SSC militias and start giving them summery executions. Kill them one by one. We should stop being the good guys and for once give our enemies a taste of their own medicine.

Thanks for clarifying, I was quite lost. SomalilandPress news is inadequate, unreliable and sometimes they put up awful articles that need editing.
I was unaware of these assassination, quite behind I suppose nevertheless it's a shame, and may Allah give the two assassinated men the highest Jannah for they were wrongfully killed and got caught in the middle. It needs a good investigation because whoever is behind igniting this violence and disturbance between the two brotherly clans is lethal, evil and must be stopped.
I am sure the politicians in Hargesa do not need my advice, but if this is not nipped in the bud (an eye for an eye revenge attacks) it will continue unabated and plunge the area in yet another civil war.
