Somalia:Ogaden men in Kenya army launch “Operation kill and exterminate” in Somalia’s Jubbaland

It was a shame to Kenyan military Spokesman Cyrus Oguna, when he said Kenya was not in Somalia to help a certain clan in its operation to capture Kismaayo and Jubbaland areas.

Oguna and other Kenyan leaders have no a clue on what is happening in Somalia, despite this crucial operation, which the country is carrying out in Somalia.

Some may have felt some relief or think positively if the statement of denying Kenya’s move of backing the Ogaden clan to capture Jubbaland was from another ministry.

But , the fact that the statement was issued by the defense ministry, justifies that its one clan show using Kenya’s government resources to kill and persecute rival clans in a neighboring country.

The whole project of Jubbaland operation is dominated by members of one clan in Kenyan government. The masterminds and the influence behind this conspiracy are from Ogaden clan among them; State defence minister Mohamed Yusuf Haji, his son, Nuradin Yusuf , an intelligence officer, Deputy Speaker Farah Moalim, Mp, Mohamed Abdi Afey, MP Safiya Abdi Torey, Iyas Barre Shil, who calls himself as IGAD envoy for Somalia , Abdirahman Olow former MP, who was appointed as facilitator of helping the formation of Jubbaland state under the influence of Ogaden clan, mainly from Ethiopia, and Kenya.

Oguna and others in Kenyan government are simply fed by one family members, Yusuf Haji and his son Nuradin. Also important to note is that Yusuf Haji is a cousin to Mohamed Abdi Gandi, a refugee from Ethiopia, who claimed the leadership of Jubbaland in Kenya last year.

As Oguna distributed the statement from Haji and his son, the Ogaden soldiers in Kenyan army launched their long planned operation of killing innocent people in Jubbaland from non-Ogaden clans, by labeling them as Al Shabab sympathizers.

This is not different from what happened in 1990ties, when Kenyan army of Somali ethnic crossed the border to help warlord General Morgan in Jubbaland in his campaign of genocide against innocent people. The operation was then ordered by General Mohamud, former Kenyan army commander and the officer who coordinated the operation was James ole Serian, current governor of Kenya’s North Eastern Province.

The operation “kill to exterminate” has just started and it will affect the whole population in Jubbaland who does not belong to Ogaden clan. Somali people in Jubbaland are tired of endless war, and having seen a foreign government orchestrating a new civil war and genocide in their country is unfortunate.

I would like to ask Oguna a simple question about the family statement he gave to the press: Aren’t you aware of Yusuf Haji’s operation of recruiting Ogaden youth from Garisa to fight in Somalia in a bid to liberate Jubbaland from Al Shabab? Do not you know that Jubbland is a Somali territory and the concern of Al Shabab is not just for one clan, but for all Somali clans living in Somalia?

I am sure Oguna will seek answers from Haji and his son, since he will never know what is happening in Somalia until he takes some time to read the history.

I am sure that the people of Jubbaland are now aware of the genuine motive of Kenyan forces in Somalia. Time has come for the world to recognize Kenya’s conspiracy in Somalia and address this issue carefully.

An all inclusive meeting for Jubbaland should be held in Mogadishu or in another country to resolve the protracting crisis of Jubbaland. The current meeting in Kenya dominated by Yusuf Haji and his clan will only result chaos in Somalia and the whole region including Kenya.

Kismayu has been a disputed town for some time but it was always a town that belonged to Bajunis and other Saab tribes. The first Majerteins were brought to the land during the DUB DHEER droughts in the late 1960s by the Somali government.

The Ogadens arrived there a bit earlier during the 1920s-30s when they were fleeing from the British forces and Eidagale. It is well known.

The MJs and Ogadens (Absame) have been fighting over the town ever since by in the 1990s they were both ousted by Farah Aideed and his Habar Gidir forces.

The Ogadens and MJs then went at it again until Islamic Courts Union ousted them both and later replaced by al Shabab.

Now if this is true, Ogadens will not oust the Bantus but the rival MJs and others and the cycle will continue, the "darood" thing only exists in theory and online forums. It is like Irir Samale, there is no proof it exists/existed, just a fairytale story.

Jabarti is Eritrean tribe and when Yemenis were asked about Darood (Jarood) they said he was an Ethiopian slave that used to live on their land.

This article does not represent the level of education this writer claims. we are tired of tribalism. We cannot maintain clan passion which lead to the civil war and continues to give foreign powers an excuse to meddle in our affairs.

Because GANDI is from Ethiopian region does not preclude from running for any office in Somali. Every Somali is Somalian by default regardless of the national place of birth.

However, the notion that a given clan owns specific region may not work well where many clans coexist in the same region. Where there are numerous clans, it is important that clans share power based on agreed upon formulae. Specifically, Minorities should given a voice in every administration.

We have become smarter and understand quiet well that no one clan can run a region where other clans form either minority or majority.

We need to find a solution to the real issues such as treating minorities as second class citizens. We need to develop a way of protecting the interest the minority so as to maintain national and regional stability without resorting to violence or spreading hatred among brothers.

Look We have to read the article carefullly and see whether the people mentioned are from only one tribe or not
secondly all people living in jubba land must participate the decission making of the region with help of the somali government.We are sure that Kenya did not come to help Somalia. It has an intrest and We must aware of that and all Somalis hate Alshabaab but We must be careful dealing with this sensetive issues and only search the trueth.One tribe cant dominate the other tribes , We must remember the end of Morgan and his allies and those after him.We somalis mustunite in one Tribe that is Somali Trible only.

Let the sister in question understand that kenya armed forces are free from tribalisim there is no one time the armed forces asigns a certain somali clan in the military to hunt for other somali clans as she claims ogaden soldies in the kdf are kdf by career and not ogaden or somali in this case but are members of the kdf on ops linda nchi for her information.kdf never task ogaden to harm non ogaden bros and sisters and remain without being noticed.iam not an ogaden for that matter only that i wanted to proof yr case here as rumours for i know the kdf never does that.adopt tranparency plse.

You are correct but only little fact that you got wrong, the Ogadens settle in Juba area and even NFD durring Ajuran kingdom. as noted in history, 80% of the Ajuran dynesty foot soldiers were Ogaden from the Ogaden region. You can still see Ajurans and Ogaden living or grasing togather in the NFD Wajir area and also Somalia site.
