SOMALIA: Puntland blames TFG and SSC militia for attacks

BURAO — On Friday the leader of Somalia’s northern enclave of Puntland called on the Somali parliament to prepare the country for a general election to form a credible administration to replace the current TFG.
Speaking to journalists at Bosasso airport, Abdirahman Farole said Somalia needed to hold immediate elections ahead of the end of Transitional Federal Government’s mandate in August. He said the interim parliament needs to find a leadership that is credible, transparent and one that can bridge the gap between Puntland and Mogadishu. He criticized the current leadership and said their leadership does not reflect the will of the Somali people.
While speaking about security he blamed the Transitional Federal Government and the armed SSC clan militants for being behind recent killings in Puntland. He stressed that the TFG was using violent groups such as SSC to destabilize Puntland. He said the group, whose leader is currently being investigated by the FBI in Ohio, had tried to start a new war between rivals Somaliland and Puntland. He added that the group had failed and was near total collapse. Mr Farole argued SSC was formed primarily to destabilize the region.
Mr Farole also spoke of the drought ravaging his state and the Horn of Africa. He insisted that he had personally witnessed thousands of dead livestock and urged people to pray for relief.
Regional analysts say Abdirahman Farole is pushing for the urgent replacement of the Transitional Federal Government so that he can be elected. They claim he has over US$7 million he made from piracy ransom he plans to use for his election.
Over the past month more than 18 civilians have been killed in Puntland including 7 worshippers that were gunned down in two separate mosques in Galkayo. Puntland at first blamed al-Shabab, but now it appears it has changed its mind and is instead blaming the violent on the SSC group and the TFG in Mogadishu.
Puntland is one of several growing semi-autonomous regions dotted across what was formally known as Somalia following the toppling in 1991 of the regime of the one time dictator Mohamed Siad Bare. Somalia has been mired in violence and political infighting ever since. Somaliland chose to break away from the union and has managed to maintain relative stability.

The leader of Puntland Mudug Region of Somalia (though part of the problem) He is right about the
blames regarding TFG and SSC attacks to destablise both Somaliland and Puntland. His new ideas to
end the TFG immediately ahead of the TFG expiry mandate in August 2011 and to prepare for new
elections is also positive since the TFG of SH. Sharif Ahmed and Farmaajo are in stalemate failure
to make any progress to resolve the country's crisis. Looks like whatever Faroole is now aimed at
he appears to be finally realising the precarious political situation of Somalia and calls for the right
directives. Now the ball game is in the TFP courtyard led by SH. Sharif Hassan SH. Adan
a very tough and honest politician who be next TFG President and hopefully VP…let's wait to see how Farole's call works.

Did the SSC also force Puntland to declare war on BBC somali service as well? Come on now, Puntland thought it was in their best interest to get involved in the SSC battles in Cayn to 1) win back Las Anod in the teamup and 2) to show the Harti that the MJs are all for A DAROOD NATION and by extension a Isaaq vs Darood war. However, they gambled and lost.
Did you forget all the big talk puntland was doing as well as the SSC militia? It all sounded nice until double digit bodies starting filling Garowe hospitals and graves….right! Now everyone knows what happened to Said Barre wasn't a luck and that the Waqoi peoples don't mix their words!
Faroole is the poster boy for BS. His only aim is to take power to restrength his region for another round of wars with Somaliand. Straight talk! Not a single honest bone in this man!
If anyone thinks I am making things up then look back in history when Abdullah Yousuf was in power. Mr. Yusuf, founder of Puntland, requested the Ethiopians to destroy the UIC (who were good at the time) and when asked about the civilian casualties he responded "when elephants fight, the grass gets damaged" YOUTUBE IT! And guess who clapped for uncle Abdullah Yousuf? 1 guess he is the poster boy for BS! The man who will patriotically REUNITE and bring PEACE to Somalia once more.
He couldn't even make peace with and maintain relations with his neighbours – Somaliland and Galamudug (Galkacayo is split in 2 – MJ north and Hawyia south). So how is this man running a regional administration when he should be running a tea shop for his and peoples safety?
Full scale investigation is urgently required and expose the real body that is behind or funding the SSC terrorist group which has already committed crime against humanity including assassinations/ Bombings, etc.
When did Somalia inaugurate "Puntland State of Somalia". Did they not self declared themselves a such?
They helped created SSC using money from Minnesota food stamps recipients, and now they are washing their hands from them.
Somalia did not inaugurate the State of Somaliland either, they declared themselves a Somaliland State and Puntland declared themselves a State and so are others and more are to come. Every tribe is declaring a president to govern the desert that their tribes inhabit lets be honest to ourselves that in Somalia the conflict will not be resolved as long as every warlord is seeking to grab a power. SSC is not a terrorist group its not on the lists of the groups that sponsor terrorism, They are a tribal militia fighting for their tribe against another tribe. The solution might be people to sit together and solve their difference peacefully.
SSC are killers and one day they will have it they way. You all do not even know what is puntland "the land of punt" the land of punt is in northen somalia and ethiopia and it was 4000 years ago and somaliland is the land of the somal peopel and somaliland is not clan its a great nation.
You are making sense but is it not SSC people are the one refusing to set and talk and cousing death and destruction of apeaceful Somalialnd? Why such events did not before the new government?
The problem is that whoever cousing this will have blood in thier hands infront of Allaah, then what kind of lawer will help you infront the KING of Judges Allaah.

bottom line is SSC will not stand for the separation of their nation and definitely not their own land, so what ever flag you painted on our walls are temporary, that green white and red will be white washed and covered in that Ocean Blue on every wall and on every house. your SNM militia has some nerve to call SSC a terrorist group if you want to fight it out my brothers in SSC are more then willing, but dont call us terrorists when things get a little heated, if you cant take the heat get the hell out the kitchen. i support and respect the TFG, for the simple fact they live sleep and work in mogadishu, thats not easy and we all need to support them and end all the hidden agendas. the leaders of each region needs to stop undermining each other, if somaliland is on fire it only takes strong west winds to carry that flame over to everyone. and thats vice versa to any state.

The SSC will not stand for this or that blah blah blah LET THEM COME if they got the men to spare. If their men don't want to see their children grow up and their women want to become widows then let them continue on this path! because Puntland politics have ended in failure and DR. Faroole has to find a new direction
for Garowe Puntland to make a come back to the central play ground field. Simply said DR.
Faroole is no fool to allow the TFG,SSC to steal his show.

So basically Captain Faroole of Pirateland is admitting that he and other criminal conspirators .i.e. the TFG of Mogadisho have so miserably failed in their attempts to destabilise Somaliland. This is music to my ears.
It is a clear that TFG is trying to destabilise Somaliland and Puntland in supporting and financing Alshababnothern wing which called itself SSC. The new evidence also shows that most SSC sympathisers are using thierr benefit money to finance the the terrorist SSC and its illegal for them to use the subsistence money for shooting an innocent people.
I read this article and i thought i maybe usefull to some people who do not understand the reality.
