Somalia's Presidential candidate Dr Said Essa Mohamud

People Party Candidate is Only Candidate to Venture out of Mogadishu

Mogadishu, Somalia – This week Said Mohamud, Presidential Candidate and the head of the People Party of Somalia, met with Guriceel Clan Elders in the central Somali region of Galguduud to discuss his efforts to bring peace and prosperity to Somalia. Mohamud is the only candidate to venture outside of the relative safety of Mogadishu.

The stop in Guriceel is part of a week-long trip to the outer regions of Somalia. While his opponents hide in Mogadishu, or even outside of the country in Narobi, Mohamud personally visits the dangerous central regions of Somalia to visit his future constituents. “I do not understand how my opponents can claim to known the needs of the Somali people when they have never visited their villages, shook their hands, or heard their voices. How can they meet the desires of a people they have never met?”

During his stay in Guriceel, Mohamud met with the Chief Elders of the both the Ayr and the Habargidir Sug clans. “The importance of tribal elders in Somalia cannot be overstated. They are the backbones of our communities and the pillars of our justice system,” remarked Mohamud. During the meetings Mohamud met with chief elders to discuss his plans to rebuild the economy, eliminate corruption and create a national constitution.

“The Somali tribal structure is both a source of great strength and intense division. In order to create a peaceful and prosperous Somalia, we must first create peaceful and prosperous regions,” noted Mohamud. “It is for this reason I am touring the countryside of Somalia: we must open the lines of communications amongst the various tribes so that we can unite to make decisions as one Somalia.”

As a true believer in democracy, Mohamud chose to hold meetings with both Guriceel’s youth and small businesses. “It is important we acknowledge the voice of all Somalis, not just those in positions of power,” stated Mohamud.

In addition to his stop in Guriceel, Mohamud is visited Dhuusamareeb, Abudwak, Herale, Matabaan,

Gerijir, Mirig, Gadoon, Godqod, Eldhere, Balanbal, and Hananbure. Mr. Mohamud started the People Party of Somalia and is aggressively campaigning throughout Somalia to unite the disparate regions. He returns to Mogadishu today.

no sxb murursade are not part of the habar gidir. Habar gidir is composed of the Sacad, Saleban, Saruur and Ayr.

All i can say is that Galgadud is inhabited by a number of clans such as Habar gidir and others.

he is sensible in approaching those elders to ask for their support in his election bid.as the elders have influence among their people and by promisinf peace and exonomic development he hopes he can secure their votes.

If only it were that easy.

Dr. Mohamud is member of Habar Gidir's Ayr, who are the most influential subclan out of the HG. They are the powerhouse of HG but most Isaaqis only know Sacad because of Aideed.

Ayr is powerful nation unlike the two Ss who are always fighting over some well in Mudug where half are Ahlu Sigaar Wal Jimicsi and the other half are the half-suburb Galmudug State.

Ayr on the other hand inhabit most central Somali regions, Banadir (Mogadishu) and even in Lower Shabelle as well as parts of Jubbada Dheexe.

Somaliland will never be recognized, sorry to break your hearts, the world doesn't want to feed five Somalias…one account is enough. Who is going to donate to every habar?

Somaliland region is barren land and thus with no access to clean water nor fertile land, its important the food is grown in the south and the north becomes more industrial and the two balance each others out.

We can't have few habar throwing a tantrum just because some Dictator went after them to protect his rule like Silaanyo is doing, like Tuur did, etc.
