Somalia is the enemy of our state

The new elected government of Somalia should accept a peaceful co-existence with our independent North Somaliland, if not; we will suspend these useless talks permanently and consider Somalia as a hostile enemy of our state.

Somaliland has been waiting from Mogadisho regime for almost 22 years to come up with a meaningful dialogue to solve the issues between us, and they never did.   Somalia is obsessed with dead Somaliweyn mind-set; let me tell you something, there’re no such things as united Somalia anymore, because Somaliland was under oppressive and murderous apartheid regime.  We never were part of Somalia for both legal points of you and in practicality.

Somalia should stop being ignorant and so childish and come to the table with permanent and lasting solution.  So far, we been very patient with you and never interfered your lousy tribal state.   We have the courage and dignity for initiated a peaceful solution to the problem you started in the first place.  Your reckless and brutal state of Siyad Barre cost our nations dearly for both financially and in human term, which we’re still trying to recover it. Therefore, we have had enough of your weekly drama in Mogadishu state, in a lawless country where nobody knows who will be in charge for the next day.

What’s wrong with you people, don’t you ever get it, we don’t want you, we don’t belong to you, and we will never ever come back to Somalia.  Now, miss Mogadisho what’re you going to do; let me simplified to you like a five years old child –  you will do nothing to North Somaliland now or ever.  What language do you understand? May be we should wake up Sayid Mohamed Abdale Hassan from his grave to tell you either you should come up with ‘’af Islam or Af gaalo’’.

So here we go again, comes another hot shot wannabe be president, new era or perhaps another week of merry making.  Can anyone imagine, these so called Somali governments which don’t even control their own capital city without being escorting by a foreign body guards, who would really be lucky if they ever come back alive to their fortified compound, to tell us whether we should have our own independent state?  Let me tell you Mr hot shot, it’s too late to discuss that now, we’re back from the brink of a total genocide and we will never allow to be ruled by you or by anyone else

Besides have you ever noticed how polarised north south divide is, after all we’re not a homogenous people, we don’t have or share the same attitude and culture, we don’t speak the same dialect, we don’t belong to the same tribal affiliation, hell we don’t even look alike.  You’re called Somalia, and we are Somaliland.  So let me ask you Somali government, what do you want from us? We have own land, you have your own land, we’re very happy the way we’re, and we will never be happy with you lot around us. Do you get the message now; maybe you cannot confidently run your own affairs without us showing you what to do.  Sorry we don’t want to be your masters anymore, it’s time you should learn how to rule yourselves without us.  However, If you still thinking that you’re not capable yet to become an independent state like us, then perhaps you should invite back your previous master before us, ‘’Italy’’, at least then you have something in common than us ‘’Spaghetti’’

We want to tell the new elected government of Somalia, you have two choices, either you accept the already existing independent state of North Somaliland, or we will have a permanent war and conflict between us.  And if you think Somaliland government can be bought like you do in your parliamentary election as a result of you becoming a president, then you’re mistaken.  No one can buy North Somaliland state, because we’re a democratic country elected by the people for the people.  And if nothing is solved very quickly, Somaliland will amass most of its troops on the border with Somalia and will prepare itself to have costly long war with you

I would like to conclude this, you Somalis got one more chance to make your point clear, and you either accept our independent North Somaliland as it’s now or you’re against our freedom and dignity as a nation which will result a painful consequence for both of us.

  11. FARAH says:

    Agree with geeljire! GARBAGE

  12. Sheegato says:

The level of emotional content in the message makes it clear from the onset that the individual is neither Isaaq nor a True Somalilander. This individual is displaying signs of emotional trauma and several days of mourning for a Deceased “opportunity” to see a relative become Somalia’s next president. The only way to vent is to begin his live of mucaaradnimo by instigating unnecessary negativity between Somaliland and Somalia. I pity the poor fool and his whole petty confederation who have been sidelined and politically outsmarted by Abgaals. If 2 Abgaals and a murursade can rank 1,2 and 3 in the Selection process today in 4years time they will dominate the top 10Ranks of the Election process. What is really painfull is the facts that this is the first real government in Italian-Somalia and they will secure sufficient funds to hold office for the next 21years and beyond… The next 2 decades belong to Hawiye and this individual wishes to vent by claiming the name of Somaliland… :) no more Kacaan

  13. Guubaabiye says:

He suffers mental problems. This person should be administered the necessary psychological attention to alleviate his symptoms and make him normal.

  14. Allemagan says:

I would be devastated if I have been up all night to write a master piece article, to be greeted with the reaction recieved by this idividual. Somalilandpress must show some mercy to this unfortunate man and should pull off this article from its editorial page. I really feel sorry for him.

  15. Real ReerWaqooyi says:

I don’t know how this guy was allowed to write an article from the first place, he seems real ignorant, his English even requires real structuring, it also happens to him that he is eluded from the fact that Somalis in the so called Somaliland are completely in different world than they were in 1960, half this land he calls Somaliland belongs to people other than his clan, people who are proud and happy to be Somalis and remain Somalis, there are Demos all over the place for the support of the new president, in Sool, Sanaag, Ceerigaabo and Awdal, It has really been a wast of time replying to but little advice for you Lost Guy, “Get a life and learn before you think about writing”

  16. I don't blame the author but the webmaster who allowed this garbage post in his website , perhaps he rates this kind articles very high.

  17. sahra says:

this article should have been removed for the sake of all somali and the author has done disservice to his cause,

  18. I realy do not understand why other people do not want to accept reality of this comment. this gentleman has given a very good opinion regarding Republic of Somaliland and Somalia I also support they should be two State and that will be as it was before the shamble unity which was not real.

  19. Faisal Sheikh Ahmed says:

Emotional reaction to the unfolding events in Somalia would not address the killing and massacre of thousands of people in various regions in Somaliland.

Somaliland or Somalia whatever name you give the other, will remain forever brother and interdependent regardless of whether Somaliland is given international recognition.

The Goal of the newly elected Somali President should be to ensure that the peace and stability of Somaliland is jealously guarded, and that there should never be civil war between the brothers on either sides of the equation.

We can resolve our difference through dialogue, collaboration and understanding. No one has been excluded from Somaliland region because are Somalis, this clearly shows our shared values and the people of Somaliland for their commitment to this brotherhood.

Somaliland is a hope and was a hope for the greater Somalia because its model of self-governance created a stable and peace enclave for enterprising Somalis.

Let's focus on what unity us before our difference. So many individual who purport to represent Somalia have committed a crime against civilians in Somaliland. Those who lost their lives during the prior government deserve restitution and legal redress for the loss.
