Somalia: Turkish ambassador delivers Erdogan's message to Sheikh Sharif

MOGADISHU — The Somali President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed has received a special message from the Turkish prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The message was delivered to President Ahmed on Sunday at the Somali villa in Mogadishu, by Turkey’s Ambassador to Somalia, Mr Cemalettin Kani Torun.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest between the Somali Republic and Turkey. Ambassador Torun told Mr. Ahmed that security situation in the African nation was a top priority for Ankara.

He said the purpose of his visit was to convey prime minister Erdogan’s message of support and congratulatory to the Somali leader. He indicated that Turkey would continue to support Somalia and the restoration of its security.

He added that Erdogan expressed his best wishes for Somalia’s recovery to a path of stability and development while reiterating his full support.

The Turkish leader congratulated Somalia for the recent development including the endorsement of the draft constitution and current process underway that will end the current status quo.

President Ahmed on his part praised the excellent bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples in various spheres. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation on behave of his government and Somali people to the Turkish people and their government.

He said the Somali people will be forever indebted to the goodness of the Turkish people, who came to their rescue during the famine and years of anarchy.

Ambassador Torun, a medical doctor, was appointed by prime minister Erdogan last year after the embassy was reopened. He has since played an important role in the relations between the two Muslim countries.

      Self semi-autonomous is The way and THAT IS WHERE SOMALIA IS HEADING TO.other similer states will have The some status.

      All semi-autonomous states will have own effective local small army & police representing all The clans live in Those semi-autonomous atates.put The sometime create SNA & somali federal police which also represent all self rule autonomous atates.

      Trading & Economy no problem with That even now is booming,somalis can travel any part of somalia and do business with no obstacles.

      Nur listen We do not want your rubbish ideas of undermining The Republic of Somaliland and you should understand that We can not repeat the same mistake again please come to your senses and stop this rubbish of unity, please have an ability to stand alone and your govt as you like it and forget The Republic of Somaliland as it is going forward alone without you. Please believe in Self Reliance.
