Prospective international election observers (14 Sep 2009)

HARGEISA, 15 September 2009 (Somalilandpress) – A group, including many long-standing friends of Somaliland and prospective international observers to the presidential election, have written to the President and the leaders of the two opposition parties expressing their ‘dismay’ at the further delay in the election with no replacement date and at the recent deaths of demonstrators.
Their letters call on the political leaders to show leadership in resolving the current impasse.
