Mr. Siilaanyo went on to say the International Community needs to take a larger responsibility in helping the people of South Somalia who are experiencing a difficult time with a prolonged drought and war. President Siilaanyo also encouraged the people of Somaliland to help their brethrens and sisters in Somalia by donating to them.

I'm not the first to think this, but SomalilandPress needs to get a hold on its comments. Let us as MUSLIMS apply what we gained from Ramadan to last us till the next one Insha Allah. May Allah Guide us all to be better muslims in every aspect of life. Amiin

On a side note to all the haters, if you guys love Somalis why are you always filled with hate towards your so called Somali brothers? Xasiid's Allah is not blind! He knows what you all did during the war, He knows what you are doing now, He knows what your thinking now. On the holiest month of the year all you do is lie, create multiple screen names and use honorable names, lie about those names, and try to create infighting between other Somalis. Shamefull! Waax iskufala!

Brothers and Sisters, dont pay any attention to those hateful folks. Where was their Somali unity when they were busy killing other Somalis? Bombing whole cities full of Somali brothers and sisters. Allah knows what you did.

I ask the all mighty on this Eid night! I pray Ya Allah you know our struggle, Ya Allah have seen what these people have done and continue to do. Ya Allah you know the xasiidnimo in their hearts. I pray to you to keep our enemies weak, and confused. Ya Allah I ask you on the behalf of all the peace loving Somalilanders, of all those people who died fighting for freedom of all the innocents killed. for All those bodies that continue to surface from the earth after heavy rains, of all those still not found. Inkartada sar those who are against Somaliland. Inkartada sar all those who speak of a united Somalia while deep in their hearts only want to see their clan succeed while reducing all others to absolute nothingness.

    Ameen!

A note for the admins. I have come to this site many times, but honestly all this allowing these haters to post hateful speech is basically propaganda and you all need to pay attention because this is even being done on big news sites although its about different issues like Republicans vs Democrats. You need to allow discussing but also monitor any blatant lies and hate mongering. If you dont this site will just be another useless somali site where no real discussion exists and sooner or later it wont even matter if your news is good or not people just wont come just because of the atmosphere!

Ciid Mubaarak To All Somalilanders and all Muslims across the globe. Remember, there are some sad people who have nothing better to do than came to Somaliland websites, shed bitter tears and start abusing people for no reason. Remember, no true Somalilander would give comfort to our enemies by using this forum to spread hatred. When Somalilanders disagree among ourselves, we use civil arguments in public. We keep our private matters, private. So, if this forum's administration is unable to enforce civility, just ignore the haters, and let them return to their sad existence.

A SPECIAL Eid Mubarak goes out to the Mr. Silanyo, Ex-SNM Mujahid, and elected president of Somaliland. May Allah(swt) increase you, your administration, family and opposition parties with guidance and goodness. Continue to promote unity, increasing accountability, and improving our economy.

    Word of Advice:

    1. Please leave the press alone. They like you have a pivotal job to play in ensuring any future administration remains true to its people. Instead you should take their criticism as a welcomed opportunity to improve on the day to day operations of the government.

    2. Ramadan is over now and there are innocent Somaliland citizens sitting in jail in Garowe. The kangaroo court their found these men guilty of trespassing onto Puntland "territory" (sool) and handed them each 10 year sentences. This isn't right!

every time I post a comment about our president and try to congratulate his leadership or mention him in a post it gets deleted straight away and all the filth is published. This happens every time no idea whether it is coincidences. never mind

To be honest, I really can not explain the recent increase in useless comments posted by lowlife extremists. Perhaps, it's because there is this strange dude who started using your name all of a sudden? Or maybe it's because it was Ramadan and people's working hours were shortened in Muslims countries. i.e. SLpress staff worked half days

The most logical explanation I can think of, however, is the fact that this whole FREEDOM OF SPEECH concept is new to Somalia and its people. I do not think we have gotten are head around the whole concept quite yet. For many Somalis, deleting or filtering their vulgar comments is considered a violation of their right to speak their mind.

The only piece of advice I could offer to SLpress, since journalism isn't my specialty, is to look into how other well-known prestigious newspapers manage their online commentary section. Perhaps they could offer some tips as to the best way to filter out nonsense. My 2 shillings :)

We have at least chose our President. We try to help our people to get better in Somaliland, although we are not a yet a rich country (that will come inshallah too). What do you do? Except, hating, killing, lieing, raping, stealing etc… I mean God can see all that, that is why you are getting punished. Try to turn Good instead of Evil, before you all die by drought, famine, pirates, and you all now that harm acting terroriest.

God sees what you are doing, creating hate in Somaliland. We guess what: whe now what you did circa 20 years ago and what you are doing now. May allah punische you for that even more. Allah please have mercy for the woman, children en males who are Good minded and not Evil minded.
