Op-Ed:DAMAGING PERSON’S DIGNITY DOESN’T BRING POPULARITY

Life has its own problem, its ups and downs, every day you come across an incident that either shocks you, or appreciates you, the biggest people with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest people with the smallest minds, and it has been said one man’s problem is another man’s opportunity, it was last week on Thursday 21st July 2011 when the media wrote with a big titles
“Sheikh Almis was arrested while he was engaging on making TFG passport”
Without digesting the facts of that event many of them has criticized the incident, and doubt that people who are legends in this country, yes you are right, but have you tried to realize whether that information is true or not? Is it possible the elites of the country can do that?
Those who think that Somaliland will stand on deviate emotions and distracting the others dignity are away from the correct evidence, and they are day dreaming
Do you know who Sh. Almis is? Or you don’t know the father of Sh.Almis?
Let me give you brief information about Imam Yahye to show you who you doubt ignorantly to forge TFG passport? And to explain your ignorance about the history of the country as you are either envy or not a real citizen
Imam Yahye was the unique leaders that thrive and sacrifice his wealth and knowledge for the salvation of Somaliland, At a time when some of the veterans desperately want to rebuild Somali republic and re-arrange their seats to attend, Imam Yahye was decided the separation and have convinced them to establish the government we are satisfying now,
What Sh. Almis said in his sermon was to reveal the conspiracy behind his arrest
“Sh. Amis didn’t wait anyone to give him certificate to prove that he is Somalilander or not, whether he is mullah or citizen, this country is the heredity of our ancestors and we are proud of him,”
Then he proceed to describe how the police met and what the media wrote him “while I was walking alone in one of the roads of Hargeisa two cars were surrounding me and request to follow them, then they bring me an office (government office) and told me that I am forging a passport, what is this! You are not taking me hold in passport you met me at the road, within minutes I saw whole magazines writing such ridiculous news while they put on my picture in this Minbar and passport and I don’t know what bring a sermon and passport together?!”
Most people can’t separate the truth from the lie due to the hatred and envy in their hearts; they accept every thing while Allah commanded to us to be careful before we take a decision
Let me also introduce you to this man, and tell you what he strives and thrives?
Almis was educated at Al-Azhar university with the hands of most respectful leaders, intellectuals, scholars and sheikhs in the world who combines the Islamic knowledge and modern science, he migrate to Europe to spread the preach he beliefs and learned and also get employment to survive his life, then he decided to return back to his own country where his father was established and dedicated to sustain the remaining
in 2006 He established international horn university at Hargeisa which became the unique universities that gives master degree, Quran science and international certificates in the country his aim is not to get more money and left without taking effect as most of them do, but was to build the minds of the grownups through his admirable sermon, awaking the youths, help the needy students who lack a chance to attend university, and take place the development of the country.
In 2008 IHU was recognized the only university that gives the biggest number of scholarships to the students in Somaliland, the curriculum of this university is Islamic basic that combines modern science and good morale, he guides the students through instructing the subject of Islamic culture which is compulsory to every student among the university regardless the faculties they attend by letting them know what the university strives which is “to produce a knowledgeable student, knows his creed deeply, behaves politely to the people and contributes to the development of the country.” He put emphasis on shaping the minds of youths
Could that sheikh, who sacrificed his wealth, property and knowledge, wish to destroy or deceive the country of Somaliland? Never! Ever!
That doubt isn’t real and beyond the imagination, its conspiracy to harm the reputation of sheikh Almis, and give false information to the citizens with the intention to destroy the dignity of International Horn University, to disappoint the brilliant students who study at IHU, to get rid easily of the historical reputation of his family, the history encompassed, the pen wrote, and the citizens have understood those who behind such cruel incident ((and they were plotting, against you, and Allah was plotting, against them, by devising a way [out] for you and God is the best of those who plot, the most knowledgeable among them about it.)) (Al-Anfal: 30) ((“And evil schemes will beset, surround, only their authors, namely, the one who devises [such evil]”)) (Fatir: 43)
All these issue was planned to scandal the son of Imam Yahye spiritual leader of the veterans, separator of Somaliland from Somalia, but Allah didn’t wish that as He is the Controller of events with knowledge and wisdom
It was a fake incident which can mislead, blind and distract the dignity of Scholars in Somaliland, as such incidents has been faced by millions of human beings, but it can be resolved through patient and putting trust on Allah,
Knowledge is the quickest and safest path to success in any area of life, without knowledge you accept every rumors you read, listen, or told, try to be yourself and think about the consequence of false information un to your self, family and nation,
O Somalilanders! Be far sighted persons, and be brothers in Islam, nations, and culture, learn how to manage false information creatively and constructively, we can thrive when we cooperate on building healthy nation.
I am concluding “try to keep your head and your heart going in the right direction and you will have not worry about your feet and let faith in Allah be control of every decision you make and every action you take”
