Weldon Mr. Abdikarim, you have expressed the feelings of our people towards these two gentlemen and all those who spoke for Somaliland in that Parliament debate. We cherish, respect and appreciate the continuous effort of the All Party Parliament Group who tirelessly support out guest for Statehood.

Dear Abdikarim, we need to show the strength of our people on 22nd February, 2012 and express what exactly we want from this International gathering. We have to show, the reason why all these Somalilander who live in Europe came to these countries, and tell them clearly the reason is what Somalia regime did to our people, otherwise, we shouldn't have been in Europe. This is important and we should include our slogan.

This is what I was talking about! This is how you get the west to take notice! MONEY & VOTES! Whereever Somalilanders live they have to make their reps know where they stand and are willing to fund those that support Somaliland!

We need a lobby the goes out for Somaliland, we need lawyers that will go out there and sue the living day lights out of the UN etc for not willing to support democracy in Africa while constantly contributing to war and starvation!

The right honorable Mr. Alun Michael, MP and the right honorable Mr. Tony Baldry, MP have unconditionally supported Somaliland and we are also grateful to these gentleman and the other tireless British Somaliland friends.

I agree with ComeAgain, We need to lobby hard and forge more friendships with legislators from all over the world. The Somaliland diaspora and Somaliland government are just not doing enough to argue their legitimate case. Let us again show our appreciations and gratitude to the British friends of Somaliand – Big thank you!

    Abdikarim

The world community is utterly confused to tell you apart from the neighbour with the intractable problems. Apart from your ill-informed parliamentarian from Wales, the world is totally confused about telling Somaliland from the land of the Somali people. For most people Somalia is Somalia.

Your attempt to distance yourself from your problems is a well-known condition called delirium in psychiatry that is called "transference"; it is not me but it is my neighbour. And by the way, what is "Hip HIP Hooray – Jolly fellows!". Is that some sort of call of arms slogan for the historical Somali Camel Corps?

Hip Hip Hooray is the glorious slogan for the historical Somaliland Camel Corps of the WWII!
Somaliland as Country and Nation always were with the British and the French in all Mother
Nature Worldwide Wars I&II and sacrifaced for such causes till the Independence of 1960.
Somaliland being the first Somali gaining Indpendence before Somalia and Djibouti gained
their Independence should not face conspiracy treatments from the IC key players. It's as simple as that.
Somaliland should stick to demanding the unconditional Recognition as their primary motto
against all other affairs in the Somalia London Conference on 23 February 2012, to be jointly
endorsed by the host Govt. and all the 50 participants in the Conference. The Arab League (AL) and
the Organization of the Islamic Countries(OIC) should clarify their clear policies towards the
Somaliland quest for immediate recognition along with their close allies as by Recognizing Somaliland
is good for Somalia and all the players..that's for sure.
      Cheers.

Allemagan, I don't understand why are you so obsessed with Somaliland being part of Somalia. Study shows that like Somaliland there are other African States who have voluntarily formed union with another state and subsequently withdrawn from that union amicably. An example is Egypt and Syria, Senegal and Gambia, and Senegal and Mali, Rwanda and Burundi have all have done the same and are today full members of the African Union with no hard feelings. And no one country is crying after the other or clinging or constantly attacking and sabotaging its development. How many Arabic speaking, same religion, same culture, Arab countries are there and they all have their Internationally defined borders? Is it logic that some of them to claim that they should be one country?

When will Walaweyn stop their insanity and move on? Waar Saliga Nebiga nagu waydaarta, we not joined on hips!

It's because of the kind of this idiot calling himself Shabeel1, that Somaliland will never be part of Somalia. They care less for Somalis, they just wants their clan to dominate every other Somalis. Those days are gone. Never again, will Somaliland repeat the mistake it made in 1960.

  11. Allemagan says:

    @HMObsiye

I totally agree with you that no tribe should be allowed to dominate other Somalis. It will be excellent if this rule is followed by everyone and is embraced by the Somali people. If we approached solving our problems this way, it would certainly eliminate the clan feuds that have plagued Somalia for the last twenty one years.

Unfortunately, separatists can only see the world as black and white and cannot comprehend that what applies on others also applies on them. For instance, Somaliland (Sic.) administration will not admit that they are trying to dominate other tribes as they invade certain districts in Khatumo State such as Buhoodle. The Somaliland Administration should not spill innocent Somali blood in order to force locals to accept dissolution of Somalia as a single, united sovereign state. It is definitely short-sightedness to shame others on that you are guilty of yourself.

Peace and milk to Somalis everywhere.

Allemagan, Somaliland never attacks. But has the right to defend itself. If you expect Somalilanders to tie their hands behind their backs, you wrong. Somaliland will always defend itself, its citizens, and its territorial integrity. We will not allow terrorists to hijack our peace, stability, and livelihood or dictate on us how to run our country. Somaliland is for all Somalilanders within our defined borders and it will stay Somaliland. However, if anybody thinks they should be elsewhere for tribal affiliation's sake, the door is open and they are free to go. Dadkaa guura ee dalku ma guuro, period.

Somaliland is what it is today because of its people sacrifice and hard work. So I suggest to my southern brothers and sisters to forget about Somaliland and focus their energy in fixing their own issues. Of course that is if they are sincere about improving the situation in the south. Please don’t let your jealousy of Somaliland success make you lose focus and always remember that innocent kids, women… in the south are dying because of starvation and war. Stay focus and get your act together. I’m sure that Somaliland will be willing to help if it sees sincere effort from the south and not just nonsense talk about Somaliland this and Somaliland that

     Reply
    • Mohamd says:

"Jealousy" is considered as part of depression(disease) that is responsible for causing insecurities and low self-esteem.

The problem is such disease cannot be cured unless a long process of purification is undertaken. Since Somalia ppl are no such types that help themselves, it looks like they need to be forced by an outside force whether they want to or not.

It is shame we had to be involved with such ppl.

    Gobaad

The conclusion of your comment is “Dadkaa guura ee dalku ma guuro, period”. Verbatim translation of that statement is “People can leave but the land remains behind, period”. It is obvious that your statement bears some degree of a threat. I think another name for forcing people to move from their homes under duress and in a civil war is “displacement”. That is why the United Nations has camps all over the globe for displaced persons forced to abandon their homes.
I am neither surprised nor do I have the slightest doubt that separatists will not hesitate to resort to ethnic/clan cleaning as long as they reach their misguided goal of dismembering Somalia. However, it is perplexing that those who want to carve up Somalia can never acknowledge their opponents as human beings with hopes and aspirations like them. Seeing your compatriots as human beings cannot be that difficult. Can it?
At the end of the day, It is reassuring that it is not a simple task to vacate the northern regions of Khatumo State, Makhir State and Audal State of their traditional inhabitants by brute force. That is why Somali people must find other innovative ways to solve their problems. We have been in the path of death and destruction for a long twenty one years.

What I said in the above comment was: " Somaliland is for all Somalilanders within our defined borders and it will stay Somaliland. However, if anybody thinks they should be elsewhere for tribal affiliation's sake, the door is open and they are free to go. Dadkaa guura ee dalku ma guuro, period. Your stament of … It is obvious that your statement bears some degree of a threat." Is way out of line and unintended from my part. Enthic cleansing is something easily utter. We are too civilized to consider such a barbaric thing. I can see that it is easier you. … to be continued

Everybody knows that Somalilanders are peace loving people. Case in point we tolerated Siyaad Barre's barbaric act and brutality for 30 years and react to ruthlessness and cruelty until we couldn't take it any more. And everybody also knows that Somalilanders chose peace over guns and asked those gun toying disgruntled individuals to come to that table to discuss their grievance if they have any.
