wow Ethiopia continues to impress me day by day, a wonderful country that is continuing to develop real fast.i donk think Somalis know what the significance of this plane but this is the most modern passenger aircraft in the world and only japan's ANA and Ethiopian airways have them. this aircraft is not cheap as a unit costs more than 200 million so don't even suggest that myth so-called zoomali air can purchase one.

    go ethiopia

  3. Martin says:

Ethiopian Airlines is one of the safest airline in the world that fulfills all international safety requirements. I recently read on their website that they also got European Safety Agency certification. ET is the only airline in African with brand new 777-200LRs and other brand new fleet. It is such a magnificent milestone for the airline and pride for all Africans to receive the 787, being on equal footage with mega carriers of the world! Go Ethiopian Airlines!

  4. Kayse says:

How much would it cost to fly the Dreamliner from Australia to Addis Ababa? I think next year I will try direct flight to Addis then to Hargeisa rather than Dubai.

I do not want to go through Djibouti again.

    • kaboon says:

      i thought you hate haragasa

      • Kayse says:

No son, Hargeisa not Haragasa, is my home town and Somalia's second capital.

        • kamaal says:

kayse, teach some lessons some of These confuse folks.

        • kaboon says:

you are a refugee so it is not your your home town

          • Kayse says:

hahahahaha, I'm the native of Hargeysa, aka place for hides. Son your just a little lost kid from Garadag badiye, if anyone is refugee its you.

Go back to where you came from you and your warlord grandfather Silaanyo.

  5. Jabuutawi says:

Air France to Djibouti all the way baby.

PS: I wonder if Ethiopia Airlines serves raw meat as a delicacy to its passengers and calls it African "sushi"? Thinks that make you go, hmmm?

    • Jabuutawi says:

      Things, not thinks….lol.

    • kamaaal says:

Of course They serve raw meat+signi+tibsi, last time i use ethiopain airline The whole place smells like bad kitchen.

      • Dhuguse says:

        Jabuutawi
Ethiopia is closer to you + your IOG hailed from there + blockage of your only lifeline!

  6. Kayse says:

This is an African success and to be honest until Somalia gets a proper Airline, I think I'm going to use Ethiopian which will drive Daallo out of business and that I welcome. Daallo is used to carry animals and its not even an airline.

This time around, I think I will fly directly to Addis Ababa with one stop from Melbourne, which costs around $2300 including Tax.

Can anyone tell me how much does Addis-Hargeisa cost?

I hope they add new airlines to Hargeisa instead of the Q400s otherwise we Somalis will find another option.

We deserve a good services and if Ethiopian can facilitate that for us, we will fly with them.

I congratulate Ethiopian for acquiring this well developed aircraft. Ethiopian has indeed became one of the most profitable enterprise in Africa.

    • kaboon says:

they should use a modern b737-800 or better the 787 dreamliner. what ever they use it will be better than dallos flying cage

  7. Kayse says:

My other option is Royal Brunei, which will not be matched by price and service is world class. The reason Brunei is so cheap is as many of you know, the small nation has so much gas and oil reserves which means they can fuel their own carriers unlike the others who have to buy fuel at high prices.

In Australia the price of unleaded for example is $1.40 where it is $0.50cent in Brunei, and the AUD is same value as the Brunei dollar, in fact you can use Aussie dollar in Brunei.

Melbourne to Dubai $1,300 with Royal Brunei and then African Express ($400-500)

There you go under $2,000 with return. Where as if you fly Ethiopian Melbourne to Addis $2,300 + Addis to Hargeisa/Berbera.

Both prices are economy classes for one adult.

For those in the UK, you can fly Brunei from London to Dubai for just £398.49 ($656 AUD) with return…very cheap.

More than half of what it costs us but then again we are more than twice as far as London from Dubai, more than 7,200 miles.

  8. jama nuur says:

I will not use again ethiopian airline last time i had FOOD POISONING.

  9. Barwaqo says:

Somalis , they run after Ethiopia for their benefits. They like to use Ethiopian passport, Ethiopian Airline, most of their life is depend on Ethiopia.

    Selfishes

  10. Zaytuun says:

I always wonder if it safe to travel through ethopia. How do they treat transit passengers especially fellow Africans and specifically Somalilander. anybody care to share their experience or are you guys one of those who cant afford to travel lol. joke
