Ensuring the success of the Republic

I have come to the realization that the Republic is in danger, notonly by its neighbours and internal usurpers, but most in dangered by themost beloved of its citizens. I know, I know, it’s hard to digest, but hear meout. Somaliland has been an independent republic for almost 21 years now,and had been fighting a successful rebellion for ten years before that, but weforget who we were fighting. Yes, we were fighting the military regime ofSiyade Barre, but we were also fighting the civilian invaders that regime hadplanned to implant in our country after our extemination. Now, to forgive thiscrime is quite merciful at best and also extremely cowardly, but to forget isanother story altogether.

What I am trying to say is that, those same military genocidalmonsters that we call faqash are still portrayed as heros and figures ofnostalgia by the people we call brothers and sisters in the south. These menand women who caused so much destruction and loss of life in our homesand country, are praised and loved in the south and southerners who presidewithin our communities in the Republic. I know, crazy right? Wrong, go andask, find out for yourself, if I’m lying,…. Well then I’m lying then, but that’sbeyond the point.

To ensure that the Republic succeeds is for Somaliland to havean enemy so which we can blame for all our problems, we need an enemywhich Somaliland can organically form animosity with, an enemy whichalready wishes for our destruction once more. The Republic must have thecapabilities to project power and influence into Somalia. The intellectual andacademic community must formulate and implement policy to further thisagenda. We cannot sit back and even think about freindship with a people wecare so much about but wish the worst on us. It is naive and stupid, twoattributes we cannot adopt in the current region we currently habit. TheRepublic’s success and future must be ruthlessly and brutally ensured, evenat the expense of the Somali Republic and her peoples.

Long Live The Republic, Long Live Somaliland….amen, amen

I could not agree with you more. The thing baffles me is why on Earth is Morgan still at large. I heard that he lives in Kenya. Why did no one shoot that war criminal in the head? Plenty of murders happen in Kenya and his murder would be just another figure in the statistics. It is really unacceptable that we let this beast live in peace. We should form a hit squad and take out all the F@qash killers one by one.

Abraham have you watched Munich? I dont support the Yahud in everything they do, but how they go after killers of their people is very exact, almost a science. Considering how many nobel prizes the Yahud have won its amazing there isnt one for executing war criminals.

You seem to keep on repeating the story of Hargeysa bombing, everyone knows what happened there, but
a lot of people have got over it, and are getting on with their lives, so if you are a Somali muslim, forget and forgive.

Most of the people who instigated what happened in Hargeysa in the late 80s and eary 90s, are either dead, old or immobile. I do agree that the South are having trouble in stabilizing the country, but believe me there are far worse elements to be wary off, than our Southern brothers, and some people on this sight is a part of them.

If you beleive this whole notion of muslim ummah and brotherhood has any credibility, then it would have stopped the famine that killed 100000 women and children last year. Somaliland must choose its freinds and allies on mutual interests and not on religous lines. Somalia is muslim, but how muslim? Its muslim enough for it to be destroyed and rendered useless for the last twenty years. Somalia must become and be percieved as our enemy, not because they muslim but because they wish to see our destruction. If ethiopia is willing to invest and have an ally in Somaliland then S/land must ensure its interests are being met. And that means even forming relationships with states like Israel, France, China and India. If they are against some muslim countries, that doesnt mean we jump on the wagon because these muslims say "oh allah, where is the ummah". Where was the ummah for us? Where are the muslims when we need them the most? Nowhere is where, we Somalilanders must be muslim for Allah and ourselves, throw this garbage idea of muslim brotherhood out the window because it never works for us.

Also let me tell you something no one is over what happened! You crazy lot cant stand that we have our sh yt together, and we will never turn back! History has changed!

Like Gadhleh said there are those that only talk about being Muslim but do all the bad things under the sun to their fellow Muslims and SOmalia was the perfect example!

We have been treated more like brothers and human beings by Ethiopians and Westerners than Somalis from Somalia. Truly, there is no comparing common decency and reason over someone who only pays lip service to an ideal they never live up to!

Take that ethiopia this, christians, jews that elsewhere we Landers will deal justly with any nation that treats us with respect and kindness!
