Hargeisa (SomalilandPress)—SomalilandPress reported on October 5th that Somaliland Minister of Planning and Development told Somaliland Parliament that NGOs are out of control. SomalilandPress would like to clear up at the behest of Dr. Saad Shire Minister of Planning and Development on that news. It appears that our reporter in Hargeisa misunderstood some facts and also unintentionally misrepresented.
Correct News
On Tuesday October the 5th Minister of Planning and Development addressed the Somaliland Parliament about the Millennium Development Goals of the country. The purpose of his visit to the Parliament was to inform the members of the parliament about the importance of Millennium Development Goals and where Somaliland stood with regards to targets set.
SomalilandPress would like to apologies to Dr. Saad Shire for misquoting him on our previous news.

The article in question which I read was well written article. The person who wrote that article spend a lot of time on it. It did not look like a minor misunderstanding on the part of the reporter. Some one took great pains to write the article. The grammar, spelling and the content was perfect and far from misquoting.
I am disappointed with Somali land press that they did not verify the information before putting it out there for every one to see.
Very unprofessional from somalilandpress.
'It appears that our reporter in Hargeisa misunderstood some facts and also unintentionally misrepresented. '
He didn't misunderstand some facts, either he completely misunderstood or he fabricated what the minister said. SomalilandPress, this unacceptable journalism.
Was the reporter actually there? I read the article and there was no misunderstanding what the reporter wrote was designed to misrepresent the minister. The reporter should be put back on probation.
However I would like to congratulate Somaliland Press for making a public apology and retracting the article.
