first off all will like to greet o them salaamu calaykum.second this author doen,t tell any thing bad,if always like that all somaliland people become pro government that is not good .
the author is 100% pure somalilander and his oponion could be positive or negative, he doesn,t make crime but there is people who believe that( the black american people doesn,t realize that belong to america until they become the power of USA)…………………………………….

You say Glaydh is seen as hero by Dh*los.. but how poor is that judgment, Pal. Apart from the disagreement among Dh*los, the so-called state is not viable economically (no resources other than livestock which has to go thru SL or Maj for export), geographically (C*yn & San*g are shared by others) and politically (Maj*tenia dislikes it).
Moreover, Maj*rteen will block you at the TFG and will not allow you to have a share. Don't you remember that this Abdil-Weli removed the only cabinet you had in the TFG? Don't you see that the current TFG cabinets are fully divided between Maj*rteen and H*wiye?
Somalilanders are absolutely not afraid of Dh*los becoming anything as long as Maj*rteen is there.

Our country was divided to those many Somali groups (Djibouti Somali, Somali Ethiopia and Somali Kenya) because our people always lacked unity and cohesion. Somalis in general do neither have the confidence nor the conviction to stand up for nationhood and claim what is their own. A good example of Somali weakness as tribal society that can not form a nation is the twisted logic of separatists like you; The only reason that you want to divide Somalia into more fiefdoms than it is already is that you believe unlike other Somali regions, your little turf was once British protectorate. Who cares about which white man ruled which Somali.

There is no country called Somaliland nor is there nationals of such entity. For one to become a citizen of a country that nation must be first recognized by the international community. No matter how many ways you try to justify existence of a country called Somaliland, Somalia is still your only country.

Somali is my race but
my nationality is SOMALILANDER.
I do not identify myself as Djibouti Somali or
Ethiopian Somali or
Kenyan Somali or
Somalia Somali.
My nationality differs and has always differed.

When i read the article, my opinion of the author really deteriorated and once again disappointed at the mentality of some people in our community and their lack of making judgment based on fact rather than fiction. However, reading the comments placed by the majority showed me that my somaliland people are not easily fooled by such incompetent reporters or others that would like to infect us with their childish behaviours.

My fellow somali brothers, we somalilander do not hate you, we are still your brothers in blood and would like to work with you in order to secure a safe future for both our countries.

Creative minds think alike in various subjects, i.e. peace and prosperity. However, the past has shown us that politics is something we cannot agree upon.

So, my fellow somalis and somalilanders, support each other interms of achieving each others dreams. Do not attack your fellow somaliland brother whos interest is shared with you and accept that curtain areas in life, one needs its space to grow and discover new ways which could improve the lives for themselves and willing to share, instead of creating alot of obsticles which will keep our great grand children still stuck in another mans land where they have more rights to abuse us and torture our fellow man and woman.

As a fellow somalilander, i feel somalia should go its own path to discover new ways which you might even be kind enough to share with us.

Keep the peace, kick out the hate!

It is obvious that the author has an ill-will against Somaliland and in particular the current administration. His writing is full of negativity, political rhetoric, and unsupported accusations against our government. He could be one those who would love to see Somaliland to be ignited and in flamme like the South of Somalia. There is no fairness or positive criticism. It is no brainer to understand where he is coming from. Very disappointing!

All you bad guys of Somalia Puntland Greater Somalia, all your roadmaps I&!!, the Somalia
London Conference and all the associated concerted efforts to bring back a new live to Somalia
will not work to the detrimental aspects undermining the Somaliland quest which has not been a
negotiating party to the new arrangements. This said and clearly understood, the Civil Societies
people of Somaliland are watching their democratic elected Govt. how they will respond to the
UK Govt's invitation and what this invitation means to the recognition and full independence of
Somaliland and under what platform portfolio designation will the Somaliland own to be addressed
as particpant.I mean part of Somalia new arrangements or different entity then all Somalis
in the roadmap I&II???

As an American having just returned from a very small part of Somaliland….I'd like to know what "writing about Somaliland" entails since it seems that the breadth of exploration has not expanded far beyond the small areas he is living.

And yes, there was scores osf Somalilanders killed in Buhoodle, but who was behind it? Of course, people like you who are denying the existence of Somaliland. People like you whose hate and jealouy eating them up. People like you who ,for the live of me, cannot stand Somaliland's progess, peace and stability. Look at you, you are already not wasting time to compare Somaliland with what is going in Somalia. Somaliland will never be part of that "laughing stock" you mentioned. The world is sick and tired of Somalia and the UN/AU is taking over Somalia and it is anybody's guess what is behind take over because you couldn't bring any peace or good governance in 21 years. First of all Somaliland is a country and it is going to stay that way whether it is recognized or not. It is not a dream, but a reality and we are living it. Secondly, there is no such thing as Khaatumo, Makhir, or Awdal State. Besides, the handfull trouble makers minority living within our borders from Sool you wish could escalated the hostilities and multiple their efforts to destabilized Somaliland have to learn live in peace with the people of Somaliland in their Internationally defined borders. Otherwise, they have to take Buul-cas and get the hell out because Somaliland will not tolerate any aggression from any anybody and will vigorously defend its territorial integrity. … to be contined
