The previous Regime under Riyaale's presidency was mainly engaged
and focused under the political influences of the Djiboutien French
speaking, with Paris as his second home.
However, the new Regime under Silaanyo presidency, Uk educated,
the new Somaliland politics is definitely expected to shift to London,
and during the term of this administration London will be the main focus
for Somaliland for everything including the recognition issue
to become a full member of the Un World body. Whether Somaliland
will become a new member of the British Commonwealth or else is an
open question. Towards this end Ambassador Ling and his team have
a real job to do for the benefit of both nations in particular.
Cheers.
UK is useless now days.
Russia & China …a different issue…come what may from America,
Uk & the French are two world elephants in their respective ways of
dealing with the independent countries they colonialised.
Between the two the UK world including the c/w & America, even
Russia and China come what may…the Uk again is in positive position
to roll rock the entire world in close liaison with the President Obama
pragmatics of course emboldening a forceful solution to dismantle
the Arab Israel Middle East crisis. towards this end the whole world
would rock and roll much better.
Cheers.
China!! is more influential and strategic partner than the Europeans and americans.
I wish that the new government of Somaliland fully understands that peace and security of Hargeisa, Borame, Berbera and Erigavo originate from the borders of our land with Budland and hence Somalia. As we all know this border area begins from Boosaaso and Garowe districts. At prsent our borders with Somalia are open for any one to violate at will. More than ten towns within Somaliland are not under the adminstration of the government of Somaliland. This is because of ex-president Riyaale, who neglected these towns, and diverted all the development aid they are supposed to receive to Borame and his home town of Dila. Full governmental control of all Somaliland , extention of all services to these towns along side a credible deterrent security presnce is the best ingredient to restore our deplomatic recognition as quickly as possible.
UK and Europe are out dated, the new administrations needs to work with China. We dont wanna deal with nations in their last leg…the West will never recover from recession and debt and will become the new Africa.
We need to go deal with the new economic powerhouses such as China and the Asian market. Its great investment into the future……Europe and US are declining and trying to maintain to their last grip with false and misleading information and endless invasions (iraq, afghan, yemen, somalia..etc)
Kayse China is not my problem come what may although I must point out that all the creatures snakes you name it will migrate against the sightings of the chinese who eats anything..pretty scary yeah! just kidding. man, out of all other things two big problems stick their giraffe necks out. The Arab Israeli middleast crisis and the Industrialised Arms race and Military muscle conflicts. Somehow the world will be full of problems for as long as these two major crisis are not of the radar. There can be no resting peace and the world will be miserably divided and distorted. However, since ww2 the world have seen good times as well as bad times with the systems put in place. Maybe it's now the time calls for changes of new direction, and by the way, the UK/USA/other Euros are not that dumb not to understand when a new direction is a must.
Boosaaso and Garowe of the so called Puntland are purely Somalia territories and have nothing to do with the Somaliland proper international borders. If need calls for it, there will only be Somaliland and Somalia to deal with each other in any future talks depending on when there's a Somalia responsible Government representing it's people and country is around to talk to which uptill now is vacant
and not there!
Cheers.
Keyse,
When you say that "the new administration needs to work with China" instead of France or the U.K, that is not the complete picture.
China has shown that it is ruthless in it's exploitation of natural resources to power its relentless Economic Growth. It deals with Iran, Guinea Bissau and many other African countries and it attempts to keep politics and Business separate; furthermore China also has a different approach in that they often do not impose political prerequisites on countries wanting to engage with them. Furthermore China itself is battling with separatist regions within its territory such as Tibet and also lays claim over Taiwan.
Having said all of this it is possible to conclude several things;
1) It is highly unlikely that China would recognise Somaliland (due to its own issues with Taiwan and Tibet). It has no reason, interest or gain in recognising Somaliland.
2) China probably would trade with Somaliland. As i said it keeps politics and Business sepaerate. This said it'd be unwilling to invest heavily in Somaliland natural resources given that the government is weak, the country is unrecognised and the borders haven't been secured.
3) The U.K and France shouldn't be written off, they still hold significant political and economic power and Somaliland has much to benefit from. Let me remind you that the U.K still gives (financial) aid to China (believe it or not). Somaliland does needs to engage with China, Asia and developing countries.
No one has done more crime, robbing, killings, exploitation, corruption, torturing, enslaving, dividing, raping, colonising than the West in the last 200 years. Thanks to them now we have all the things wrong with the world such as climate change, floods, Tsunamis, etc…
The more corruptions on earth and killings, the greater these things and more frequent they occur.
Before the rise of the West, these things were minimal.
By the way Kasyse, we know the human beings United Nations office is
in Newyork… Do you know where the office of the Angels responsible
for the Earthly world is situated in the universal 7 heavens up the
sky…Man you scar me to death.
Cheers.
So?
I was just saying that The U.K and France shouldn't be written off, they still hold significant political and economic power and Somaliland has much to benefit from.
I am sorry to note the British Ambassador who was in Hargeisa for the last two days, was the messenger who brought that information, that there are 7 suspected terrorists in the Silanyo cabinet. What the hell is Ethiopia think they are? We don't want Ethiopia to be our master and interfere our own affairs whatsoever. They should mind their own businesses because we know that Ethiopia needs us more than we need them, so how could they even try to dictate our own affairs. Silaanyo will deserve a huge publicity among the whole Somalis, if he does stay away from Ethiopia and tell them that they have no right to dictation.
Mohamud Jama Musa
If the good relationship already in place between Somaliland and
Ethiopia is to continue the Ethiopian Regime must adjust it's policies
to respect the Regime change in the Somaliland with it's new political
strategy…in order words, the Ethio Regime must come into terms with
the new challenges, interests and priorities of the Kulmiye party Governance
which will be entirely a different ball game much so unlike the previous
Udub party Regime. This suspected 7 in Silaanyo's Cabinet must be a
joke!. The British Amb. was the Messenger…come on…this is too much
fabrication to grasp.
Cheers.
1)ETHOPIA NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND THAT SOMALILAND IS NOT LIKE THE OTHER PARTS OF SOMALIA WHICH, ITS PEOPLE ARE DISORGINISED, INSTEAD SOMALILAND HAS CENTERLIZED DECITION MAKING CULTURE, WHICH MIGHT TAKE PAINFUL DECITION AS IT DID IN 1988 THE SNM WAR,
2) THE POPLE OF SOMALILAND ARE TIRED OF WAITING INDEPENDENCY, MANY EXPECT ETHOPIA TO BE THE FIRST COUNTRY TO RECOGNISE SOMALILAND, HENCE, IF IT IS PROVEN, THAT ETHOPIA IS BEHIND THE PROPGANDA AGAINST THE NATION OF SOMALILAND. THE PEOPLE OF SOMALILAND WILL START HATING, AND ONE MIGHT EXPECT, GROUPS LIKE ALSHABAB, TO EXPLOITE THIS SITUATION.
3) THE PEOPLE OF SOMALILAND CONSIST OF TRIBES, AND MAJORITY OF VERY LOYAL TRIBES, LIVE IN PARTS OF EHTOPIA, HENCE ANY VIOLATION AGAINST SOMALILAND AND ITS EFFORTS OF GETING RECOGNITION WILL COST A PRICE FOR ETHOPIA, SPECAILY, WHEN ETHPIA IS EXPECTING TO EXPORT GAS.
4) IF ETHOPIA DOES NOT MAINTAIN THE GOOD RELATIONSHIP IT HAD WITH SOMALILAND LEADERSHIP, FOR MANY YEARS, AND THE NEW APROACH OF ISOLATION IS NOT BUT TO END,
THEN SOMALILAND MIGHT BE FORCED, TO SEEK NEW TIES WITH NEW ALIES, SUCH AS IRAN, EGYPT AND ERATERIA AND IN SOME EXTENT TO ISLAMIST IN THE SOUTH IN ALL WHICH WILL SEE ETHOPIA AS COMMON ENEMY, HENSE DEATH AND DISTRUCTION MIGHT BE THE ONLY OPTION THAT IS LEFT. WHICH IS AGAINST THE BEST INTEREST OF SOMALILAND AND ETHOPIA AS WELL AS THE PEACE LOVING PEOPE AND THE REGION
5) IF ETHOPIA DOES NOT INCREASE ITS POLITICAL, AND ECONIMAL TIES WITH SOMALIALAND, SHE MIGHT FIND ITS SELF HELD HOSTAGE BY ONE NATION JABUTI.
WHICH MAKES ETHOPIA TO BE POLITICALY AND ECONIMACLY CONTROLLED BY ONE NATION, WHICH MIGHT BE NATIONAL SECUTURITY ISSUE IN MANY YEARS TO COME. THEREFORE SOMALILAND MIGHT BE ABLE TO REDUCE THAT LEVEL OF THREAT.
Najib
wow! man! you using the Alshabaab language…slow down..politics are
dirty scams. take it easy and relax…Somaliland and Ethios are two clever buddies and will doubtlessly sort out their whatever differences.
Besides Silaanyo and Zenawi are both known revolutionary liberators
who overthrew the Regimes of Siad Barre and Mingiste Haile Mariam!
Both guys know each others backgrounds.
Cheers.
Ethiopia want to control somaliland completely , and tell what they do and what they don't like kids.

we wanna go back to somaliweyn that's better
