That's excellent news now Somaliland business community will have access to the best business teachers in the world and the leaders of the corporate world – USA.
Very good Mr Jonathan and Dr Ahmed. A unrecognized country like Somaliland needs to relay heavily on it's private sector and this school will give the local businesses and people major boost.
Hopefully the next step will be US investors once they train and qualify them. It's good investment in the right place.
Congratulations and I hope Somalilanders take full advantage of this. $1250 is very cheap thats how much one subject in one semester costs in Australia.
Fantastic news!!! I welcome Abaarso Tech and its current development. Business is what made USA what it is and small nation like Somaliland needs to learn from the experts in the field. We love capitalism welcome onboard :)
Hopefully the Somalis can put a good use to these opportunities and runaway with it and use it to help their fellow country citizens.
I know how much sacrifice the school founders, teachers, financiers made and continue to make and we appreciate and we stand shoulder to shoulder with you and the success of the region and the people.
This is good investment for not only Abaarso Tech but for America too. Instead of supporting the hidden hate war by the likes of Bush and the similar groups, the Americans need to give back to those that need help and forge relations instead of saying: "Oh they here to take away our freedom and prosperity". Somalis know politics and we know its political investment and we support it.
It's amazing how much the two muskeeters (John and Ahmed) have achieved in such a short time, now they have some of the best teachers in America on board. Very impressive and very exciting moment for Somaliland schools and businesses.
I know most Americans have been there done that and want new exciting life that is different to the every day work-home, work-home rotine.
Abaarso Tech is one of the best things that happened to Somaliland because education is vital for any society and even a small school will make huge difference. These people are yarning to learn and succeed.
The next thing to do for Abaarso is to establish it self as regional institution for students from Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti and even Eritrea.
There aint that many good business schools in those regions and most of them are toooo expensive for the locals.
Also I suggest forming ties with US-British firms in the region that require English speakers from the locals.
I'm so proud of Dr. Ahmed, Even though he tried once to be apart of our polical system, and could not remain long with in the curropted and dictatorship kulmiye party environment, i hope he will one day come back to serve his country. Thanks alot Ahmed for developing and contributing alot to our education system.
JStarks and Mr. Essa what the two of you are doing for Somaliland and Somalis in general is amazing, please keep up the good work. I look forward to one day seeing more Somalilanders/Somalis as the CFO's of our companies.
This is such a good news for the people of Somaliland. Thanks to Jonathan and all those good people who are contributing to Absaaro Tech's continued success. Helping establish or fund such important institutions as universities, libraries, and hospitals in developing countries is the best way rich countries can forge lasting ties with its masses and I hope Western countries learn a lesson from Jonathan Starr and his colleagues. It seems the Kuwait, Qatar, and Emirates governments are slowly learning this lesson.
What Jonathan and Dr Ahmed did is perfect example of how West, Africa and Islam can co-exist and work together. Often Western companies and regimes fund rebels, dictators and Islamic royal families who marganlize the population then Western citizens ask themselves why they hate us?
If more Western companies and people were like Mr Johnathan there would not be 9-11 and the current crisis.
America is no God and like all former empires it too will decline and join the history pages, so the right thing to do is while on top do the right thing. Otherwise later no one is going to repay for your bad actions.
Scholarships for disadvantaged Somaliland kids is awesome idea. Keep it up Jonathan and Dr. Ahmed and all the rest of hard working teachers
I wish I had known this. but I made it the hard way. Went to get MBA in business Administration in University of Chicago(Booth). I would like to think I am the first Somali CFO in the company I work at, and I am. School is very important it made my life here in Texas good. Now I make 175 grands not counting the bonuses my boss surprises me with. Just last year my bonuses totaled 90 thousand. What makes me love my job is that my family doesn't have to worry and they are very proud of me which I am grateful for.
Congratulations and congratulations to Abaarso Tech and all Somali students.
Keep up the good work.
i want to tell you something about fee of hedge fund. Hedge fund managers typically charge their funds both a management fee and a performance fee.
Management fees are calculated as a percentage of the fund's net asset value and typically range from 1% to 4% per annum, with 2% being standard
The Incoterms rules or International Commercial terms are a series of pre-defined commercial terms published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) widely used in international commercial transactions.
The facts about the hedge fund industry is that Most hedge funds are highly specialized, relying on the specific expertise of the manager or management team.
