(Opinion) – Change Of Success For Somaliland Political Dilemma

As every body aware of, Somaliland communities have been struggling to obtain a influential leader who over come their problems encountered over past couple of years, including the inflation which does not allow the poor community to properly manage their day to day financial positive responses, without recognition from international community that allows this country to be part of the world, lack of required city infrastructure that dislocated the entire facility to comfortably life for their homeland and lack of human basic essential accumulations that leads this communities to sustain their life improvement which tangibly resulted a fully recovery for their basic needs.

We can simply understand that superseded mountainous obstacles are increasing which contemplating the idea of selecting a leadership who is not currently participating the political dilemma of Somaliland because we need a leader who have the capacity to predict what he is capable or not and to assure confidently the political procedure he is going to brilliantly make a tremendous changes for the entire system of the government institutions by selecting a competitive and trustworthiness supportive components that facilitate him to realize what he is accountable for this nation.

I am outlining here some major qualities of good leadership principles which I intending the wider public should know of every “politician’s” position and obligation. Without further ado, let me list some of the leadership quality that we need as a nation:-

The quality of leadership we need as a nation

· I think a good leader must have vision and the ability to transform that vision into reality.

· He must be able to dream, wake up from that dream and then realize it.

· A good leader must be patient. He must always be willing to listen to his subordinates no matter what.

· A good leader must be a good communicator.

· He must be able to share his dream and aspirations with his colleagues.

· A good leader must be honest and virtuous.

· A good leader has an exemplary character. It is of utmost importance that a leader is trustworthy to lead others.

· A good leader is enthusiastic about their work or cause and also about their role as leader. People will respond more openly to a person of passion and dedication. Leaders need the ability to be a source of inspiration, and be a motivator towards the required action or cause.

· A good leader, as well as keeping the main goal in focus, is able to think analytically. Not only does a good leader view a situation as a whole, but is able to break it down into sub parts for closer inspection. While keeping the goal in view, a good leader can break it down into manageable steps and make progress towards it.

· A good leader is committed to excellence. Second best does not lead to success. The good leader not only maintains high standards, but also is proactive in raising the bar in order to achieve excellence in all areas.

· Some characteristics may be more naturally present in the personality of a leader. However, each of these characteristics can also be developed and strengthened. A good leader whether they naturally possess these qualities or not, will be diligent to consistently develop and strengthen them in their leadership role.

Somaliland current situation perspective

So, the question is, why our politicians are busy for their interest or differences between, because we confronted a considerable setbacks that resulted bad picture during, when the Somaliland political party conflict re-starts, which basically is a constitutional miss-understood that we have been suffered over past couple of years because, we need a independent court which all political party agreed upon to have the legitimacy interpretation of our constitution disputed articles and has full authority to interpret without neglecting and support any part of political groups. We are not ready to ccreate a group norm that conflict around ideas which are not constructive manner or political direction that does not commonly results a tangible progress.

Unfortunately, the presidential ambitions are over for the time being at least because, the people we need who are maturely educated, free from tribalism and corruption are not ready to campaign the Somaliland leadership due to the by nature criteria that Somali people domestically consider.

In addition to that, any group that comes together regularly to lead a government, solve a problem, or to improve or create a process would benefit for other competitive group norms, at that time there most be the leadership guidelines or rules group members agree to follow. They often include the expectation that all members will speak honestly, that all opinions are equal, personal attacks must be tolerated and that each person will participate.

These guidelines also set up the expectation whereas healthy debate about ideas and options is encouraged, is most frequently the topic when conflict in government is discussed or performance evaluation is taking place. I believe conflict has many positive results for any government basic understanding when the politicians disagree with each other and lobby for different ideas, is healthier.

Disagreements often result in a more thorough study of options and better decisions and direction because good leadership is the facilitator of better understand, if you are unwilling to participate in government reform politics and conflict, you will never accomplish the things that are important to you as leadership.

The essential content of democracy is that political rule must be based on the consent of the governed. This can take many forms, some better than others. It has been experimented in many ways in many places throughout human history.

We can simply understand that leadership begins with self leadership before anyone can lead others; they need to be able to lead themselves. To be a leader means having a sense of personal direction first.

The things that you do today will affect who you will be in the future. If you know what you want to be in the future, you got to aim high, aim as high as possible because the future you see defines the person you will be. If you want to be an excellent leader, start living like that person today. The person you are is the person others will follow.

Eventually, the issue that matters to me most is my desire for peace. I have gone through so many years of war and anguish. This has led me to realize that peace is very essential to mankind. We must therefore devote our time to build a peace in our country in order to share similar experience and reduce the political confrontations, because the main purpose I was intending to write this article, was only describing to my brother and sisters the importance of good leadership, peace and stability of this nation, and secondly, I was not mainly intended to criticize the Somaliland political parties and even the governing party but to express my concern deeply of my country Somaliland for expecting massive progress and prosperity of its nation.
