Hargeisa (somalilandpress) – The Somaliland police interfered a land dispute in Masalaha district in Hargeisa. The police fired at the crowd after they failed to settle a land dispute in the area which started to result a confrontation among the residents of the area.
The police then interfered using force by firing in the air and dispersing the crowds. No casualties have been reported but the police arrested a number of people in the area.
The land disputes are one of the major problems in Somaliland especially in the capital city Hargeisa, where such disputes sometimes result death of civilians when two groups or persons fight on a piece of land.
